Hello everyone! And welcome to lesson #3 of the TPRS Russian course. Today we're going to talk about a mobile phone. And if you haven't seen my Slow Russian lesson #3 about the phones, please go there first. So today we're are going to use some vocabulary and we're going to practice using it actively. Before you start, have a look at the description box of this video and look through the list of words we're going to use today. It will be "mobile", "to call", "to write SMS", "to answer a phone call", "screen" and other words connected with answering a phone call. Okay, first comes the mini-story and then I will ask you easy questions Let's get started! Here comes the mobile phone and the mini-story. My cell-phone is ringing. "ring-ring" I'm looking at the screen. Tom Cruise is calling me! What for? I don't want to answer this call. But he's texting and is asking that I call him back. And that was it for this little mini-story. Now I'm asking you an easy question after each sentence. Let's get started. My mobile phone is ringing. Whose phone is ringing? Mine. This is my phone. Is my phone ringing or knocking? It's ringing. "ring ring ring ring" My phone or my TV is ringing? My phone is ringing. What is ringing? Cellphone. My cellphone is ringing. Mobile phone. I'm looking at the screen. Screen. Who is looking at the screen? I am. I am looking at the screen. Am I or am I not I looking at the screen? I am looking at the screen. to look who is calling. Am I looking at the screen or to the side? I'm looking at the screen. At the screen of the phone. Tom Cruise is calling me. Who is calling? Tom Cruise. Tom Cruise himself is calling me. Is Tom Cruise calling me or am I calling him? He is calling me. Tom Cruise is calling me. Is he calling or writing to me? He is calling. He is calling by phone. He is not writing. I don't want to pick it up. Do I want to answer the call? No. I don't want to answer the call. Don't I want to answer to the call or to the letter? Letter. The call. I don't want to answer Tom Cruise's call. Who doesn't want to answer? I. I don't want to answer Tom Cruise's call. What don't I want to answer? The call. "Ring ring" I don't want. I don't want to answer the call. But he is texting (writing SMS) Who is texting? Tom. Tom Cruise. He is texting. Is he sending (writing) a message or reading it? Texting. He is texting. What is he texing? A message. SMS. He is texing me. And is asking that I call him back. Is he asking to call back? Yes. He is asking that I call him back. Who is asking to call back? Tom Cruise is asking that I call him back. What is he asking for? To call him back. He is asking to call him back. He wants me to call him. And that was it for today's story.
