Hi, everyone! I am Lindsay from FrenchPod101.com In this video, we’ll be talking about how to agree in French like a boss. Let’s begin! Oui, tu as raison. “Yes, you are right.” So sometimes, if you’re like me, you like to disagree with people, but sometimes we got to say, Oui, tu as raison. “Yes, you are right.”, to agree with this person. Je suis entièrement d'accord avec vous. “I couldn't agree with you more.” So this is more of a formal expression. You wouldn’t use that in your everyday life, I mean with your friends. You will use that with a person that has, for example, more power to, for example, agree with what they’re saying to you. You will say, Je suis entièrement d'accord avec vous. “I couldn't agree with you more.”. C'est exactement ce que je ressens. “That's exactly how I feel.” So this can be used in many situations. Let’s say, your boyfriend tells you, “I love you.”, you will say, C'est exactement ce que je ressens. “That's exactly how I feel.” Exactement. “Exactly.” If a person tells you, “Hey, what did you think of the English test yesterday? It was super hard.” You can say, exactement “exactly”, if you feel the same way. Aucun doute là-dessus. “No doubt about it.” So for example, if a person tells you, “Hey, I’m pretty sure you nailed that test.”, and you know that you nailed it, you can just say, Aucun doute là-dessus. “No doubt about it.” Ce n'est pas faux. “You have a point there.” For example, if a person tells you, “Hey, if you don’t get a good grade in biology, you can still make it up with physics.” and you can say, Ce n'est pas faux. “You have a point there.” J’allais le dire. “I was just going to say that.” If a person tells you, for example, “Hey, let’s go to the beach today!”, and you think the same thing at the same time, you can say, J’allais le dire. “I was just going to say that.” Je crois que oui. “I guess so.” Sometimes when you’re not really sure, for example if a person asked you, “Hey, do you think the metro is over there?”, you can say, je crois que oui “I guess so”, because you’re not that sure. Eh bien, je ne suis pas sûr(e). “Well, I am not sure.” If a person asks you a question like, “Hey, do you think tomorrow we’re going to have a test in math?” and you’re not really sure, you’re going to say, Eh bien, je ne suis pas sûr(e). “Well, I am not sure.” Je ne suis pas en désaccord avec vous. “I don't disagree with you.” So that’s kind of a formal way. If, for example, a person tells you, “Huh, this man is really, really attractive.”, you can say, Je ne suis pas en désaccord avec vous. “I don't disagree with you.” So how was it?
