Hello and welcome to Get Germanized Kocht oder Get Germanized Cooks whatever you wanna call it. Today we'll, christmasy as we are, make delicious gingerbread! Oh my God they smell good! Not hard to make. Definitely not! That's why I'm gonna show you right away what you gotta do to make yummy gingerbread like this! You need: 8 French rolls, 350ml water, 350g sugar, 3 big eggs, 1 package gingerbread spice 1 package baking soda, 100g dried apricots, 100g dried plums, 300g ground almonds or hazelnuts, 100g chopped almonds and big hosts (wafers) then you need powdered sugar and rum to mix (make) an icing Now you pour the water into a bowl, pluck the rolls to pieces and soak them in the water afterwards Put the bowl aside and whip the sugar and eggs until creamy You can now bit by bit add the gingerbread spice, the baking soda, the (chopped) nuts and the almonds. You can best chop the dried fruit with a food processor but you can also just use a knife. Now you also mix in the dried fruit and then add the still wet rolls to the mixture Now you spread the wafers on a backing plate with baking paper on it and put some of the mixture on each of the wafers. I've used my fingers to shape them so they look similar to the gingerbread you can buy at the supermarket Now you have to put the gingerbread into an oven that was pre-heated to 180Β°C and then bake them for 20 minutes until the surface of the gingerbread is a bit solid and slightly brown They shouldn't get too hard though because gingerbread tastes best when it's moist! After 20 minutes you take them out of the oven and now mix a thick icing from rum and powdered sugar and coat the gingerbread with it. Now you just have to let the gingerbread cool down and then you can either eat them fresh or put them in an airtight box for about 2-3 weeks Afterwards they'll taste even more aromatic! And now you've received delicious gingerbread! Oh my God...this is the first time I've made gingerbread myself and I'm very proud of myself because these...are delicious! Thank you very much for watching guys, let me know in the comments if you liked this recipe if you made some, post photos or tell me how you liked it (the gingerbread). Apart from that...
