Works for me, not just for exercise energy.
First off, I put about as much stock in sports science trials attempting to prove or disprove a product as I do the contents of any sports supplement's non-FDA regulated or tested nutrition information. There are too many factors for me to ever be happy with the representative sample of humans tested anyways. A spin on Disraeli's famous quote - there are three types of lies: lies, damned lies and sports supplements. Initially I went into GNC looking for some type of energy gel or chew. Not having heard of these I decided it was worth the investment to try them out. If after 30 chews I couldn't find a reason to continue buying them then I wouldn't. I don't find them as convenient as energy gels as far as what they are for energy boosts while running. I eat them before running, typically before stretching and can feel the minimal caffeine content (20mg per two chews) within moments. The thing that I love about these is the type of energy they deliver, or, more accurately, help to felicitate the delivery of, and its sustainability. They won't give you some big boost that's gone in 10-20 mins. The energy is almost subtle. As far as what I've read they are supposed to excite the body into producing and tapping into its own energy store, which is healthy, natural sustainable energy with no jitters and no crash. I have found that they work for me, that what they claim to do happens to actually work with my body chemistry.

In addition to using them for exercise i find that they really do help me to concentrate, which is a HUGE deal for me. I'm a college student with ADD who struggles to focus in class and out, and cannot afford health care for an Adderol Rx.. Once I learned when to administer these to work best with my schedule they proved to be a large boon to my ability to focus in class. I can honestly compare it to a mild dose of Adderol (adult Ritilin) without the cost or other negative effects. This may be a very rare case, but it is nonetheless, A case. If you're curious about FRS chews then just buy a pouch and see if they work for you. Your body chemistry is very unique and may be more susceptible than the other, negative reviewers to this product's contents. Four stars for the crappy sugars and extraneous chemicals they use, which I can see absolutely no reason for. C'mon we're adults, we don't need a teaspoon of sugar to make the medicine go down. I'd rather a bad flavor than bad sugars and carbs. Oh well, I'll continue to buy them.

Sorry folks...

I wanted to try this, too. But I trust the results of a double-blind placebo-controlled study with an adequate sample size more than I trust Lance Armstrong's (or anyone else's) endorsement.

YUCK!!!
All I can say is this... YUCK. the taste was too much for me to get past. i struggled with all of the items in the free trial and had to give up. I would much rather take a 5 hour energy shot than to use this stuff again.

Marketing scheme
I have to say that i am not impressed. Overall the product did nothing for me, except make me have to use the restroom, in a bad way. Not to mention they try to scheme you with the ol trusty auto pay. They got one over on me, but dont let it happen to you. Stay away from FRS, dont give in to lance armstrongs powerful endorsement capability. It does not stand up to the hype and it's against the American way.

So...when does it kick in??
I purchased a pack of the FRS drinks through a local vitamin supplement store, not the website, but I still feel like I paid too much for nothing to happen. I am not a energy drink regular but when I've tried other drinks I've felt something..when I saw FRS I thought it was a good alternative to all those chemicals because it was basically just vitamins. So hour after hour I'm waiting for something to happen until I just fell asleep. I didn't feel anything!! Until the middle of the night when it woke me up to awful (and painful!) bloating. Maybe it was just my body's reaction..not sure if anybody else had the same problem or not. But I wont be relying on FRS again.
