Excellent Product
My mom swears by this stuff! She loves it because she has really bad allergies, and this is the only stuff that totally takes away her itchy throat.

Phlem, Throat clearing, Coughing, Chest rattle relief
Lisinopril pills are my blood pressure medication and they work great for that, but one side effect seems to cause phlem build up. The doctors had absolutely no remedy for this and after years of complaints my wife found an elderly nurse who advised her to get some Old Indian Wild Cherry Bark Syrup. What an incredible difference it made and it works quickly. I used to go around clearing my throat for hours and had many serious 2 minute stretches pushing the limits, making a spectical of myself trying to snag the flem with some well aimed air to get the tickle out of my chest and throat. The commotion would wake my wife up in bed as well. The instructions on the bottle advocate one tablespoon for an adult but I never measure. I just tip the bottle back on my lips and take a nip that I hope is about a spoonful. Within 30 seconds to one minute I quiet down because the urge to clean out my throat and chest goes away and it also loosens the phlem up so it comes out right away.

This syrup is 25% alchohol by volume. I keep a bottle by my bed and another with me in the car just in case I am on a trip. It is a temporary cure and seems to last about 4 hours or more for me. There were a couple times I had to take a second dose back to back with the first dose because I had an extra heavy phlem day. The shipping cost can be a killer so after you find you like your first sample I would recommend you get several of the largest bottles you can get to cut down on the shipping costs. So buy in bulk using combined shipping. My first bottle was 4 ounces from a local health food store, and my second order was three 8 ounce bottles in the mail from the same source.

Dreading the next dose
This syrup should really be labeled "liquid tincture" because it really basically is just that. I don't know how anyone can take this straight up- I have to dilute it in hot water to help evaporate the alcohol and add an equal portion of honey to get it down without choking. (I still have to hold my nose!) Despite the fact that it is God awful tasting- it has helped me with a pretty bad case of bronchitis. Also, I have only been able to take this after meals- as it is so strong it upsets my stomach otherwise. They really should make this formula in a pill form instead!

excellent syrup

this syrup is excellent for wet coughs in the chest. my husband refuses to use any other brand. we have been using this cough syrup for the past three years.it starts working right away by claming the cough and disloving the mucus in your chest.

Good stuff
I have been using this product for two years whenever I have developed a cough. It tastes horrid (I mean sometimes it makes me gag) but it really, really works. The 8 oz bottle has lasted me two years and I use the product whenever I started to feel a cough coming on. I think the Echinacea combined with the cherry bark helps strengthen your immune system as well because I have yet to develop a full-blown cold.
