Stevia Extract by NOW Foods - (28mg- 1 lbs. Powder)

I've been eating Stevia for close to ten years. I've grown and eaten the green plant as well. I had to completely stop using sugar. It took me a couple of days to get used to the Stevia, but now I use it in my coffee, on cereal, fruit, etc. I sometimes mix it with other sweeteners for baking. I love it so much, i have to lick the spoon!

If you read the description listed in Amazon, it states that this product is "Pure, Concentrated Extract of Stevia". It is not. It's a chemical derivitive and contains simple sugar extracts to make it more palatable. If you're buying this because you want to avoid sugar and chemistry, RUN FROM THIS PRODUCT!! The advertising is false and misleading.

I have been using Stevia in place of sugar since a friend recommended it to me a year ago. I love the taste. I use the Now Stevia Extract concentrated powder for baking sugar-free pies and cakes, and to sweeten my iced tea. Since it is 32 times more potent than sugar, I use a thimble-sized measuring cup to measure cup-sized equivalents. The 1 pound jar has lasted me about a year. I'm buying my second pound today
