Tried Sweet Leaf brand and didn't like the off flavor, and it was pretty weak (16 drops or so to sweeten my mug.) Now's glycerite stevia tastes better and is much stronger (7 drops to sweeten my mug.) It tastes better also. I pour this into an older eye-dropper bottle to dispense, since the cap system isn't that great. All-in-all, the best I've tried so far of the Stevia products, and pretty cost-effective. 2010-01-22
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() foul tasting and not sweet
A friend had given me a taste of some stevia powder many months ago and it was awful so I formed a bad opinion of it. Another friend told me that the liquid and some brands are much better in quality, so I bought the eight ounce bottle of Now stevia raved about by other reviewers. I tried it in hibiscus tea which is very sour and also in water and in rice milk just to see if they were any better. This stevia is definitely not sweet and it is definitely very nasty, ruining anything you put it in. It doesn't just have a foul aftertaste. It tastes bad from start to finish.
My mother tried it and said it was very sweet with no bad taste. Apparently, some people or maybe even most people can use stevia, but there are some, like me, who taste something very bad and not sweet. I'm pretty sure I'll be able to give it to someone who will like it, but be prepared to give it away and maybe buy a smaller quantity the first time you get it because not everyone's sweet taste is the same. I'll stick with erythritol, which has 0 calories, tastes sweet, and is completely natural. It has a cool and slightly metallic taste if you just lick the crystals and you have to use about twice the amount that you would for sugar but I can't distinguish it from sugar in tea, pie, salad dressing, or anything else I've tried it in. 2010-01-02

I love the taste of this product. No aftertaste, and I've had some really nasty ones. If you have a small dropper bottle, or can get one, then I recommend using it for easier measuring. The cap on this bottle is a flip-top with a large hole in it and I don't trust it for delivering a drop at a time. The large size and low price is easier on my wallet and lasts way longer, as it seems to be slightly sweeter than my last brand. You won't find better, or cheaper. 2009-12-01
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Stevia
This stevia is a great sweetener. I mainly use it for herbal tea. I use it with an eye dropper and this is the most economical way I have found to buy stevia. 2009-11-28
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Ordered this more than five times already
All good things come to an end I guess. This last time I ordered this I was so disapointed with the packaging. Not only was it not saftey sealed like before, it was sold to me in an opened lid bottled, inside a zip lock bag and the stevia looked cloudy meaning it is spoiled. Not only spoiled, but it leaked everywhere and was completely ruined. It looks like someone made it in their basement. I am investigating if this was something done by the reseller or the manufacturer. Getting a refund....
It's cheap, it doesnt ball up like the powder, and it taste great! I put 2 dropperfuls on my coffee everyday, and that is enough sweetness as about maybe 10 small bags of sugar with 0 glycimic value, and no calories. I can say that the product is pretty stable, and not much variation. That is what I look for. The product is normal to high quality. I like that it comes in a plastic bottle, glass breaks too easy. You can also make sweet tea or Lemonaide very easily with this and lemons or tea. 2009-10-08
