Nature's Herbs Celery Seed, 500 mg, Capsules, 100 capsules (Pack of 4)

I am hyperthyroid and it causes heart problems and fluid retention. My doctor originally prescribed furosemide, the generic version of lasix. But it's not a potassium-sparing drug. It meant always having to drink a lot of V8 low-sodium juice, to replace the potassium. And since I don't like consuming so much from the nightshade family of plants, I didn't like this option.

I did some research and found that I could try to get the same result from celery seed. So I talked to my doctor about letting me try something natural. She agreed to a trial.

This works well for me, without the drastic reduction in potassium. I still like to eat a banana for breakfast, to replace a bit of potassium, but it's not at all like the drastic Lasix effect.

I usually only buy this item from a health food store, but since moving, there are none that carry it in my area so I have to order online. Shipping was fast and have had no problems. I would order this again from amazon.com.
