Herbatint Chamomile Hair Lightener

this product is good for people with already blond or semi-blond (not red!) hair who want it lighter. not shockingly lighter though. works wonderfully for my mom who has "dirty blond" hair naturally , add this and her hair is angelic corn straw blond? maybe not a good description. anyway , it is a non toxic real deal.

this product never made my hair any lighter. I used it religiously for about 3 months and i never noticed any difference in my hair color. It did however dry out my hair and give it a straw-like texture. i would not recommend this product do anyone mostly for the reason that is doesn't do anything

here's my experience....I looked forever to find a natural product that would lighten my hair, I knew from using Kiss my Face Chamomile shampoo which created a reddish tint to my noramlly dark blonde light brown hair that I was getting some nice strawberry tints, but my I wanted my hair more honey colored. SO, needless to say I went to the beach sprayed some of this Lightener(put it in a spray bottle) on while my hair was in a ponytail and just sat outside under an umbrella, well the tightness of my ponytail must have generated some heat because when I took my hair down it was strawberry and I had nice highlights around my face, and I thought this isn't strong, but after I got home 2 hrs later it had made it pretty strawberry. It was a warm strawberry, but I wanted it lighter, so came home rinsed it out, and about a week later sprayed my hair with the lightener liberally and combed it through so it was just soaked on my hair, I let it air dry and went outside to sit in the sun, then it got real light strawberry from after 2 hours in direct sun moving it around so it was all exposed to the sun. Then went home and like 5 hours later in my bathroom I noticed it was getting even lighter so I washed it to stop it. Then I still wanted it blonder more like honey with strawberry highlights so another week later I sprayed it on again all over sat at the beach and now it a golden honey blonde/strawberry and I maintain with the chamomile shampoo for more reddish tints. I think overall your results will depend on natural hair color, some people would say mine looks a bit golden but that looks okay on me cause I'm very fair. I also think it depends if you have a bit of red and want more strawberry color and have a sort of dark blond to med brown.
Tips wash it out after you've finished in sun, have not tried with a hair dryer, I think I lightened about 2-3 levels overall and it would help if followed with a hair conditioning mask as it is peroxide and hair gets dry. I hope they never stop making this, or I'm screwed as there is no hair colorist who can create strawberry blondes because the red particle dyes are so small they want to leach out of your hair. I gave up on getting colorist jobs a long time ago, and thankfully I found this. GREAT FABU DREAMY NATURAL PRODUCT, loves it! :)

I used this product because it was all natural and I was looking for that type of thing at the time. It was ok, it did not lighten much though, I think the sun does more on it's own to be honest;)

But it would depend on how light your trying to go and where you start.
Someone with say light strawberry hair could probably get gorgous golden highlights and color from this.

Someone with Brown hair might get some auburn streaks out of it with repeated use.

It is very mild and your not going to get dramatic lightening from it.

But for someone who just wants to help that summer sun out a bit..it's worth the little extra help:)
