This is a recording of a singer with high standards. If she continues in this vein she will be a singer of the first rank. The voice is beautiful, wide-ranging, even and well-disciplined. Everything is enjoyable here. Strongly recommended. 2007-12-31

This is a wonderful compilation of arias that do an excellent job of demonstrating Marina Domashenko's vocal talent. The works are not only beautiful, but they show how Domashenko's voice is very well developed and evenly full throughout the registers. This shows wonderfully on the first track and on all the Russian arias. I wish there were more solo recordings of hers available. Until then, this will do, and I highly recommend it. 2006-04-29

...in my opinion this is an absolute 'must have' for anyone who loves listening to a thrilling mezzo-soprano. The Philharmonia of Russia, conducted by Constantine Orbelian is a fine orchestra and the recording is of the highest order on both the Dolby Surround CD and hybrid multichannel SACD versions. The first track, "Acerba volutta" from Adriana Lecouvreur is so beautiful that I played it repeatedly before I could go on to the rest of the disc. Every last note is amazing. 2001-09-24
