![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Surprisingly decent album
This is a surprisingly decent album considering it's free. I have a collection of 3100 mp3's, and have deleted countless others for being unworthy, every track in this album got 5 stars except for Katskills which I gave 4 stars (a very respectable score considering I think I'm quite a tough judge of music) . The album is free to download so there's nothing to lose, you might even like it. 2008-08-03

What a wonderful collection of great tunes! It includes two of my favorite artists: Niyaz and Cheb I Sabbah. Their numbers are wonderful, especially Ishq by Niyaz. And the rest is great too, not a bad song here. Hope this sells some albums for the artists who contributed. 2008-07-29

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() If you like Anne Dudley, Jaz Coleman, Ofra Haza and Enigma...
This sampler is for you. I always feel that because most samplers are free (whether online or at your local record store), they're going to suck. Fortunately, that's NOT the case with the VERY cool Six Degrees sampler here. I started listening, and was immediately drawn in by some of the samples, and what surprised me most was that I actually LIKED what I heard. This was one rare sampler that left me actually wanting to hear more from some artists, especially "Lamaset (Miami Mix)" and "Aegean Dub" by Jef Stott and "Qulanderi" by Cheb I Sabbah.
I happen to like Anne Dudley and Jaz Coleman's "Songs From The Victorious City," and much here reminds me of that excellent collaboration. I also like everything by Ofra Haza and Enigma, and the artists and music on this sampler can best be described as a combination of all four of those artists - if you like them, you'll definitely like this sampler. 7 out of the 8 selections are over 5 to 7 minutes in length, another pleasant surprise. Best of all, it's free - so what are you waiting for? Thanks, Six Degrees and Amazon.... nicely done! 2008-07-29
