Melancholy glee
This seemingly oxymoronical review title perfectly describes the emotional nature of the album. So driven by melancholy it is, that it becomes far more than simple pop.
Although I prefer the Russian album version "Ljudi Invalidi", this album is essential for the tracks which do not appear on the original: The delightfully plaintive "Friend or Foe", the sweet and bearably cutesy "Gomenasai", and the shimmering "Sacrifice".
This is music that unites the complexity of its issues with a background which supports and lifts up, rather than belies its intensity. I loved the English lyrics on their first album, and I also think that these manage an admirable bridge between melifluous pop lyrics and a perceptiveness which does not insult the intelligence of the listener. The girls' enunciation is also very natural and decipherable without a lyric sheet.
Let us hope that this album will become enough of a success to lead naturally into another album in the near future.

Side Note: The original album contains not only more passionate and naturally sung versions of songs like "Dangerous and Moving", "Cosmos" and "Perfect Enemy", but some gems not on this pressing, such as "Vsja Moja Ljubov" and "Chto Te Khvateat".

Yahoo for t.A.T.u!
Good cd. Recommend the songs All About Us, Friend or Foe (my fave), Craving and Loves Me Not. Don't care too much for the rest, but these 4 songs are wicked awesome!!!

Brilliant Album!!!
Okay just to start this off, Lena and Julia are NOT lesbo's!!! That was the sick image their old manager,Ivan, made them wear. So don't be turned off by lyrics in "Loves Me Not" of the love triangle thing.
So Lena Katina & Julia Volkova are back with their new album, "Dangerous and Moving".This album is not full of the hype and gossip of the last one. They are NOT lesbo's and this album proves it.They are a amazing singing duo! The rhythems, production, and instruments are AMAZING!!! Their voices have matured and you can tell they have improved since their last album.Overall, this album is catchy, original, and will have you begging for more!
Time for the song reviews!!!:

1.Dangerous and Moving Intro - 10/10 : It's the intro of the title track. It is catchy and amazing. With the strings and drums making ooze for more.

2.All About Us - 15/10 : This is the first single of their amazing second album. It has amazing vocals, the strings, drums, and production. It's really a great anthem for anyday.

3.Cosmos (Outer Space) - 10/10 : This is a great song that starts off soft but then you hear the drums and you know its gonna be a ROCKING song. The guitar, which is awesome, along with the drums (that is the backbone of the song),and bass are all well polished and make you want more. The lyrics and singing by are haunting and make you want the song to go on forever.

4.Loves Me Not - 15/10 : This is the second single off of the album. Its has nice lyrics and beautiful vocals by our girls. It starts off as a ballad but when it gets to the chorus Lena and Julia start pumping out the lyrics and the instruments right there to help them. Its very hard rockish chorus that makes you want more. But I really don't get who thy are talking to....

5.Friend or Foe - 10/10 : It starts as a soft but surely a anthem. The lyrics are nice which anybody could relate to.The vocals are awesome. The guitar riffs and the drums along with the bass makes this ong better than it was already.

6.Gomenasai - 9/10 : We come to the first ballad of the album. Its really a beautiful song with beautifuls instruments, production, and vocals. They are saying "Forgive Me" when they say gomenasai (two years of Japanese). They are singing about how they screwed up things in their friendship and to forgive each other.Easily understandable. The violin in the song along with the synth are just amazing!

7.Craving (I Only Want What I Don't Want) - 10/10 : This song is another beautiful song which is chorus driven. The lyrics are beautiful and understandable. The vocals are beautiful and haunting. The begginging is truly beautiful with the violin with the paino and a soft synth.Truly refreshing song.

8.Sacrifice - 12/10 : Back from the ballads we come to another anthem. The vocals and lyrics are subreb. The chorus is awesomely hauting. The drums and synth are amazing during the verses. But the guitar has its own place. The acoustic guitar is really beautiful. The production is just superb.Hopefully the thrid single.

9.We Shout - 15/10 : This song is amazing! The vocals and lyrics along with the synth are something else! Its so haunting. The song reminds you of "Stars".The production is awesome. You can feel the emotion in this song!

10.Perfect Enemy - 15/10 : Awesome beggining. It has awesome vocals, lyrics, instruments, and production. This osng is devoted to their ex- manager. You just can feel how they express their hatred to him in their voices.Soft but deadly.

11.Obezyanka Nol - 20/10 : Okay even though I have no idea what they are saying this song is a god! The drum in the beggining is awesomely haunting.Their voices just sound much more stronger in their native tongue. The synths and guitar riffs are awesome! The chorus and its vocals are awesomely rocking! This song is really a hardcore rock song! My personal favorite.

12.Dangerous and Moving - 20/10 - Okay this song, like I said before, has an awesome intro that makes you want more. The vocals and lyrics are awesome. The synth is awesome in thsi song like always the drums the same. The guitar is ill! This song is right up their with Obezyanka Nol.

Best Pop Album Of 2005
And so it came to pass that after being cruelly robbed of a Eurovision win, two pretty European girls with a poor grasp of English, backed by some older songwriters and musicians, took to the global music charts with a bundle of tunes that, while initially perceived as throwaway rubbish, over time came to be lauded as fine pop tunes.
But enough about ABBA - fast forward 30 years and tATu are another group afflicted with critical derision. Unlike the Swedish quartet, in the case of the Russian pair the problem can be predominantly traced to their manager's initial media spin than due to a hatred of their music. Julia Volkova (the moody one) and Lena Katina (the booby one), damaged by the foolish one-step-too-far Malcolm McLaren methodology of former manager Ivan Shapovalov, have made a welcome return to the music world sans pederast-trawling svengali Shapovalov and his lesbian chic creation. While overshadowed by the nasty machinations of their manager, tATu's debut album 200Km/h In The Wrong Lane (containing hits such as Not Gonna Get Us and All The Things She Said), proved that often the most perfect pop is lurking behind shifty marketing gimmicks (see also Sex Pistols, 1977; Madonna, 1985; Spice Girls, 1996). Even dour old British icon Morrissey smirked at the earnest duo's squeaky cover of his song How Soon Is Now?, while Trevor Horn's production on the album ensured that it had the garish and sexualised tint of his Frankie Goes To Hollywood creation Welcome To The Pleasuredome almost two decades before.
Not entirely killing off the flirty, sexy nature of their teen debut, tATu's return finds Katina and Volkova offering a fuller album that doesn't rely as heavily on filler, Russian castoffs and remixes. Their clipped delivery still belies the lack of eloquence when singing in English (Julia couldn't speak the language at all when recording 200KM/H phonetically), but their babydoll verses and riff-driven choruses are more exciting than anything Hilary Duff could ever offer.
It's interesting the array of artists who've put their hand up to assist tATu with their sophomore release. All About Us, the lead single from the album, is a great tune co-written by Australian pop princesses The Veronicas, Dave Stewart tune Friend Or Foe includes a bassline from Sting and the cinematic Gomenasai features strings arranged by Richard Carpenter.
Although Loves Me Not offers a wry nod to the same-sex uproar of their previous guise, hopefully Dangerous And Moving can be respected for what it is - a clever pop album with excellent production. Thank you for the music, Lena and Julia.

Beautiful
There isn't many words in the English or Russian language to describe how great this album is. Julia and Lena's voices could of prevented Hitler's reign of terror if only they were around back then. I do not care what people say if they're lesbians or not. Their both beautiful and they both have beautiful voices and I'm sure they're good people too.

BTW - The album has a great tone to it as well. Great music and great lyrics.
