In todays music scene its rare a pop act gets the chance to release an album let alone a follow up disc. And its especically hard for international pop acts to break through in North America where Hip Hop & Alternative are currently dominating the scene. "Dangerous & Moving" was released here in Canada in late September and thus far has not created much of an impact. The first single "All About Us" got virtually no radio air play and the video was not deemed suitable for television. However in America the single stayed in the top ten dance charts on Billboard for some time and hopefully if the girls decide to release the RIGHT next few singles they will continue success.
'All About Us' is definitly catchy but we've sort of all heard it before (cue girls making out in the rain video). I think 'Cosmos' is one of the best Tatu songs yet. I've loved it since the first time I've heard it. Good choice to release. 'Loves Me Not' is decent but too repetitive and certainly not the best song on the album 'Friend or Foe' is the second single and so far has not done much in North America 'Gomenasai' is a sweet balad but I think for an english song they could have given it an english name! 'Craving' is very melon-collie and too dreary for mainstream radio but something good to relax to. 'Sacfrifice' has an amazing guitar hook and would be my first choice for the girls third single. 'We Shout' is also amazing. I feel like I'm in the ocean when I listen to it! 'Perfecty Enemy' reminds me somewhat of 'Show Me Love' from the first album... but not as good The title track 'Dangerous & Moving' has grown on me but took me a while to like. Overall I think the second album showcases a lot more range and maturity then their first album. People need to get over their impressions of 'fake lesbians' and just chill and listen to the music. 2005-12-13
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() does not reach its potential
After their gleaming cross over success with "200 km/h in the Wrong Lane" Tatu comes back and delivers a much weaker sophomore album. If you have been hooked on the first CD, chances are you will appreciate some of the stuff on this one too. "All About Us", "Loves Me Not", "We Shout", "Obezyanka Nol" and "Dangerous and Moving" strike a familiar cord, but the rest of the tracks are nothing more than forgetable, pop-striving junk. I guess I expected more innovation from Tatu, but why should I even be disappointed; these are the very same girls who have lied about their sexuality to boost and promote album sales.....(how disappointing)....I wish them well; I just hope they are more honest and original next time - you can't keep on fooling your fans and expect to get away with it....Overall, this does not reach its potential.... 2005-12-07
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Great album
I found out that this album was out today, and had a copy inside of two hours. This album rocks. Its got the same sound as Tatu's first album, except it seems a little more grown up. You can definately tell that the song writing and management was changed, just by listening to the subtle changes in style. Fantastic. A must get. 2005-12-06
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Dangerous and Moving is Catchy and Exciting
This disc is a very impressive offering from Russia's best known pop duo. Although I doubt it will really shoot off in America, there is a unique sound on this album that incorporates the listener, compelling him/her to pay close attention to the music and the words. Although the lyrics are nothing special, they evoke the atomosphere of the music very well. The songs are very catchy, especially the single, "All about Us." This song alone makes the album worth buying, but the rest of the tracks don't disappoint either. These girls have a great ability to sing extremely high notes in a very evocative way that is perfect for the music. The faster dance tracks are not all that they can sing, for "Gomenasai" is slow-paced and beautifully sung as well. For listeners who wish to know Tatu's russian sound, a russian language track "Obezyanka Nol" ("Monkey Zero") is included, rounding out this offering to include a little of everything that one could desire. This cd accomplishes all that it intends, and all that is needed from an excellent pop disc. Tatu will continue to produce quality albums in the future as they grow and mature even further, imprinting catchy songs into the heads of all those willing to listen. 2005-12-04
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Finally A New Album!
I bought this as soon as i saw it! I was not disappointed either. This album is as good if not better than their first one. Overall they seem a little more matured, yet their youthful energy remains. The lyrics are still pretty simplistic but this isnt necessarily a bad thing. They sound very similar in both albums and have a light-hearted feel as always. If you like thieir first album you will likely enjoy this one. I recommend it! 2005-11-27
