Cobra 29 LTD BT 29 LTD CB Radio with Bluetooth Technology

Being on over the road truck driver I've always wanted a way to answer the phone and still be safe. I've had Bluetooth Headphones but they were hard to hear using them. The people that I was talking to spoke of poor transmission quality. After purchasing the Cobra CB w/Bluetooth I can hear the conversation over the external speaker which is about 8 inches from my head. I also purchased the Cobra external clip on microphone to clip to my collar. It,in conjunction with the external speaker, works very well and answers my needs. I'm now able to hear the communication and talk freely and keep both hands on the wheel.

This radio is every thing it said it was.Verry happy whith the cb.The reviews I read at [...] about this radio helped me to buy this one.

So far I have been very impressed by the unit, Transmission range and incoming messages will change from user to user due to different antenna set ups. The bluetooth function works well, I can hear the person I'm calling loud and clear through the CB speaker, however I have been told that I am hard to understand on the other end. You have to hold the mic about 2 inches away from your face to get good results.
The mounting screws that the unit come with are far smaller than the should be, the unit ripped its self out of my dash on my first long ride, I replaced the short screws it came with for a set of 1 inch screws when I got home, not a big deal but something to be aware of, you cant really go wrong using bigger screws.

We initially purchased one of these and after seeing how well the Bluetooth function worked with the phone, immediately purchased 3 more. We replaced an old Cobra 25 with one of these. We eventually paired 2 of them with Firesticks and 1 of with a Cobra HG A2000 antenna. After properly tuning, the sound out of these is amazingly clear. For driving together they are much better sound quality than any of our cell phones. The built in SWR meter is very easy to use. By using the built in SWR meter we calibrated each unit to at worst a 1.2 SWR. They also look great too. The chome trim and nobs create a great accent to our dashes. I expect we'll be using these for a long time.

I ordered this for my husband, who is a truck driver, for Christmas and he LOVES it! The bluetooth works GREAT! He is able to connect his cellphone to the CB via bluetooth so that when someone calls him he can hear them through the CB speaker and talk through them through the mic while they are on the phone. The sound is very clear and not distorted on either end. He is beyond satisfied with every quality of this CB, including the way it looks and performs. I couldn't have bought him a better CB!

FYI, this CB sells for $169+ at truck stops. I got it on amazon for $106 with free shipping! What a GREAT DEAL!
