iLive 2.1-Channel Speaker Bar with iPod Dock (Black)

I was very pleased with the purchase of this Speaker Bar. I bought it for my husband for Christmas and we hooked it up to our Flat Screen in the living room. It has such great sound. Very easy to use when switching from TV, radio or IPOD. We were having a holiday party and just put the IPOD on shuffle and that was our music all night long. Can't beat it for the price!

Purchased unit at local retailer & exchanged when static discharge knocked out the display on the device. The second device failed the next day when the audio was lost due to static discharge. Ipod not harmed. Two strikes your out!

I purchased this for my 12 year old daughters bedroom. After reading reviews I took back the crap from Walmart without even opening it... iPod Dock/Radio/Alarm Clock. Granted it won't really fill a big room but it's well worth the money. After shipping it cost about ($10-$15) the same to buy it a Radio Shack. I'm not one, at all, for the extended warranty but... for $21.99 extra I'm covered for two years on everything but slamming it on the floor or it being stolen. Everything else is covered, blown speakers, dockinging problems, anything. and yes I read the fine print. Almost embarrassing standing in the store for 20 minutes in the middle of a transaction reading that fine print. The sound this unit puts out is more than I expected. Others haven't rated it as well but you've got to realize what your spending, not hundreds of dollars. It has a number of options that have come in very handy. It will without a doubt rock most of the house. After mounting above her TV I was able to 1)play iPod 2)Radio 3) Play iPod vidoes on her TV while listening to the soundbar 4) DVD/VCR sound thru it 5) TV sound thru it. No wires are even showing. Covered many bases with this purchase even though still one Aux. imput and AM radio not in use. Highly recommend this product for numerous uses, the most important making a little girl very happy.

Christmas gift for my son and his Ipod. Great sound mounted on the wall. Opened on morning of 25th - would not turn on by the evening of the 26th.

I did not buy this from Amazon, thank goodness. I would've been extremely agitated if I'd had to go through all the pain of returning a mail order.

I bought this for my son's bedroom. It has enough power to suit his needs for now.

The good...
2 Aux inputs, can connect TV , Cd player, etc.
Good power, Clear Sound

The bad
Remote is functional but clumsy
Noticeable hiss when IPOD is between tracks or no source is playing.

I cannot comment on the radio feature yet as I have not hooked up the antenna's yet.
Clock with sleep timer. Was hoping to get the unit to play when the IPOD alarm goes off, but so far have not discovered how to do this, but maybe I need to RTFM....not sure its doable.

Listening to TOOL with it and the bass is sufficient. Maybe not for an audiophile but for a boys bedroom, it will do the trick fine.

I am bit concerned about the GPX label. Not fond of their quality in general but out of the box, the unit is well constructed and looks pretty nice.
