Sony SSF-5000 Floor Standing 3-way Speaker (Pair)

Got these for cheap on sale at BB, should have bought the warranty b/c while I watch some movies I can hear the speakers crack. I don't play my stuff very loud by any stretch of the imagination. It only does this on a couple of movies so it does not bother me too much. Does anyone know how to remove the mid speakers? They have hex screws but when I go to remove them they don't budge. They look like they might be faux. If this is true how do you get these off?

These produce a great, pure sound that fills the whole house. I have a nice amp, and I used some much thicker speaker wire than the free stuff that comes in the box. When I turned up the sound, there was no hissing, no distortion and I no longer have to use a separate sub woofer to get a great music experience.

I usually do not write reviews but these speakers blew my mind on sound quality for a small price. I have an Onkyo TX-SR505 receiver. I bought two sets of these speakers as my fronts and my Surround Speakers. Alongside I have two yamaha bookshelf speakers, an infinity C250 center speaker, and a JBL Venue 12" subwoofer. The blend with these speakers are phenominal. I listen to music all the time and these speakers compliment the mismatching speakers very well. These Sony speakers will take a punch as well. Don't be afraid of turning up your receiver and getting distortion out of these speakers. They will shock you!!! I am a musician and I love my music so all music lovers on a budget, you can't go wrong with these!

Got these a 105.00 free shipping. These are one of the best towers i have ever owned better sound the my cerwin vega towers and right up there with infinity betas at a way better price. Decent bass, goes lower than 40hz no joke i tested it on a subwoofer test cd and it played just about every note though not extremely loud. Works great with my 18inch subwoofers. Great mids and highs, definetly recomended.

I was pleasantly surprised at both the build and sound quality for these inexpensive floor speakers. They more than met my requirements.
