Use Companion 3 For Home Theater Setup?
Consider that the Computer/TV/Home Theater technology is constantly evolving, should Companion 3 be for the simple LCD home theater setup in addition to the computer? Just insert the audio input cable to the back of LCD TV (Audio Out-FIX), rest the cute speakers on the console table, settle the subwoofer on the floor and sit back and enjoy! The sound is as superb as it can be! Why hassle with the stereo, amplifiers and whatnot when you can simplify the solution by being practical? Am I missing something here? The downside is you can't use remote control to adjust the volume, but simply touch the pod to switch off or on. I don't always want the stereo sound effect because sometimes I want some quiet time, have a headache or I don't want to disturb my sweetheart's sleep or the neighbors. When I pop a movie in, just activate the pod! Life can't be any simpler than this! Any comments?

nice little package with great looks, features, and sound
This tiny package gives me just what I need for music and gaming. This small sub pounds more then my 5.1 Acoustimass 10 system which I am soon to be replacing for my home theater. I keep the bass off and it still vibrates pictures on the other side of the wall.

I love the volume knob which sits on my desk and is easily in reach. Just tap it to turn off sound if the phone rings. The volume knob also has a place to plug in an ipod and headphones. Which I havent taken advantage of yet. The black and silver matches my new LCD moniter great.

Bottom line is its a nice little package with great looks, features, and sound.

Superbly Diverse
My wife and I have a Mac Mini hooked up to our TV. We wanted something with a very small foot print that could deliver great sound while watching movies, listening to rock, jazz, funk, classical, and our beloved podcasts. These speakers are absolutely amazing and the frequency range is excellent despite being a 3-speaker system. The bass just thumps. These speakers easily fill the room as we use these for our main home entertainment system. I would recommend these to anyone wanting big-speaker sound in a tiny, little package.

excellent
I think I get excellent sound with these speakers...B
ose equipments are known to be expensive but I think the price for this product is worth it...for me, I live in a small apartment and I don't need a complete sound system, which would be way more expensive for my needs and useless at this time...
I love music and with these speakers I have everything I was looking for: good quality sound, easy to install, something I would plug into my apple airport and get my music wirelessly from my computer....I can also plug the TV if I want as it has an input for the TV as well...
I would definitely recommend this product...

Bose or Bust
I serve in the army and since I am single I live in the barracks on post. I am also an audiophile and it incredibly hard to find a speaker system that meets two requirements of a soldier:
1 it must sound good,
2 it cant take up a lot of space.

I got the Companion 3 system because they have an incredibly small footprint and reproduce sound at near studio quality. My own personal demons brought me to test these speakers myself through various means, and i have found them to be faithful in reproducing 20hz through to 18khz, (I don't have anything I can test above that with directly). I have read a few of the other reviews and have to point some things out to prospective buyers;

these speakers are not designed for a living room, outdoors, or large area. They are made for a small space, much like an appartment or office. The cones in the satelites and the woofer do not have the surface area to move air in a room much larger than 125sq ft. The smaller space these speakers are in the better they will sound. Alsothe quality of the audio processor/ device plays a big part on the quality of sound you will experience with any speaker system. If your audio processor cannot faithfully reproduce an audio signal, then that is another issue.

All in all, I will say these are great speakers and if you have it, they are worth the money you'll be set back getting them. But i will say this, if the location you wish to set these up has an area greater than 125sq. ft, get something bigger.
