Network Radio/Music player
This is a great product. It took me longer to unpack it than to get it working. I use it outside over wi-fi and indoors over a CAT 5 cable.
Either way, setup was simple. answer a few set-up questions and off you go.
The sound is quite good for a unit this size but don't expect it to compete with your home theater stuff.
My music is loaded on a Buffalo Technologies Linkstation Quad which has an integrated DLNA certified media server. The NP2900 finds it on the network along with any other devices there. Searching your music directories is simple and relatively quick.
The Internet radio capability gives you access to loads of free stations worldwide and, so far, has also worked flawlessly.
The only minor gripe I have is that the buttons on the remote are quite small and, if you have fat fingers as I do, somewhat difficult to select without pushing the wrong one.

A very good network audio player.
I was looking for a player to listen my digital music stored in my NAS (Buffalo Technology Linkstation Pro 1.0 TB Shared Network Attached Storage LS-XH1.0TL(Black)) and finally I decided to buy this one.
First, the setup was very easy, in about fifteenth minutes I was able to play my music, including about 5 minutes it took to update the firmware. I turn it on and it ask to connect to network wired or wireless, I configure it to access my wireless network and it detected a new firmware so I select to update it, after it restarted I had to configure the wireless network again, after that I select my music library and then I was able to see the music in my NAS and play it without any problem. Included in the box is a CD with twonky media server but I did not have to install it.
In the screen you can see the album cover in case it is in you mp3 file. In the beginning I could not see some of my album cover but after some research I could figured out the problem. Some of the images in my mp3 files were png or bmp images and the twonky media server only send jpg images to the player. So I had to remove the images and insert a jpg image and problem solved.
I also could listen to internet radio and it worked as expected, although the primary use for my is to play my music library.
Another thing is that it could also display photos from your server, so while it is plating music it is able to display a slide show of your photo collection.
I have used it for about a week and it played my music smoothly without any noticeable jump.
At the end it is what I would expect from a product like this, easy to setup and working without any complications.
