It's okay but don't expect to last more then a year
This is my 4th ipod. I use it primarily when I go to the gym. I fairly gentle with it, but they only seem to last 1 year to a year and a half.

Why did I wait so long?
Until now I've only had an iPod shuffle. I am enjoying this nano so much. I love being able to create playlists, see what song is playing, and listen to the radio. I do miss being able to attach the iPod to my clothing (don't like the wrist or arm bands) so this is not as good for using when I'm active.

My first IPod
I have always wanted an Ipod and when I had the money to purchase it, I chose the new Nano with the video option, the 16 GB version. I have been more than pleased with it's performance. It's amazing that all of that sound and music can be enjoyed from such a small package. It's very easy to operate and has a very good display. I am really enjoying it and love when I get to go on my long walks and listen to my favorite music. I haven't used the video option yet, but I don't believe it is going to be hard to record something. Overall, this was a great buy and I was even able to purchase it in my favorite color purple. With the success of this purchase, I am going to get one of the Ipod Touch models or the larger Ipod models later on.
