Polk Audio RM705 5.1 Home Theater System (Set of Six, Black)

I have this system set up in a large 20X20 living space and only use the front, center and subwoofer channels. I haven't wired my home for the back speakers yet but so far I am pleased with the quality of sound I get. Price has always been a factor as to why I have put off buying a speaker system for three years up til I researched and found this system. The only con that I have is the wire connections on the back of the speakers. They are a bit tasking.

Since some people here mentioned problems with the speaker clips I'd like to add the following:
I used 16 gauge and 18 gauge wire with these speakers. The 16 gauge wire fits perfectly and won't slide out. The 18 gauge wire is a little small and will slide out. Just strip a little more of the wire, bend the tip all the way to the back so that the wire doubles in size, twist to make the end smooth and it'll fit perfectly just like the 16 gauge wire.

Just received these speakers, got them hooked up and WOW! I'm sitting here and listening to some smooth jazz and I'm hearing sounds I never knew where in the music. What a rich ,warm and clear sound these speakers produce. I spent about two months looking and reading reviews before I decided on these. I had a set of Cerwin Vegas that I replaced with these Polks, because they were too big and my wife wanted less intrusive speakers in our living room. These blow the Cerwins away! Polk has definitely got it going on. Thanks Polk Audio for a super quality product. Also, Amazon is a top notch company to do business with. From now on I will look to Amazon FIRST the next time I need something. Their shipping is lightning fast, Buy these, they,re worth every penny...

These speakers sound absolutely amazing I am a little surprised for the price I used to have the Definitive Technology ProCinema 600 System and paid way more for it like in the 800 dollar range I have found it very hard to find good clear speakers that depict crisp instrumentation and vocal a lot of speakers sound kind of muffled and don't really articulate between sound these speakers do just that and the sub is great it does not over power the bass to fill a void of bad sounding speakers the sub does what subs are meant to do and that's fill the low end and give you a fuller sound I have used so many different speaker sets and usually the sub is just obnoxious not clear and rattles your floor its kind of like being next to a car where the bass is rattling the trunk and ground and over powering the music. I would highly recommend these Polk's they made a fan out of me I would use Polk for everything in the future when something is good why change?

I ordered this surround sound set up with the super saver shipping and it showed up two days later, I was very impressed with that, after all the wire was ran and the speakers mounted. The speaker quality could be better, but for the price it all sounds pretty impressive, like others have said, it is a pain to get the wires plugged in, the sub is the most impressive part of the package, for just an 8in sub woofer the walls, floor and room shake when I crank the volume... I would suggest buying this for anyone who has a smaller room.
