SanDisk Sansa Fuze 8 GB Video MP3 Player (Silver)

Bought this player to replace an old worn out mp3 player. I use it mostly when I walk an hour, which I try to do every day. I also use it to listen to meditaion tracks and relax. It has functioned as expected, a definite up grade from what I had been using. I love being able to pick exactly what I want to listen to.The FM radio feature is great and a feature I wanted. I would recomend this player to anyone who wants to listen to music while being active or books etc. I have not tried to load pics or videos. Don't think I'll be watching videos on it. I might load some pics when I travel but my camera could carry those just as well.Got it at a good price at Amazon after shopping around. Decided on the Fuze because of CR best buy recommendation and I totally agree.Only recommendation would be to get an additional card to increase capacity.

The Sanza Fuse 8GB was pretty good. It played mp3s which were the bulk of my musical library, watch movies, listen to the radio, become a voice recorder for lectures, and had an expansion slot for more space. My only main gripe about the Fuze is that fact that the player isn't able to recognize certain formats I prefer like dvix or xvid and tries to convert it into a substantially worse copy for the player with the proprietary conversion software they supply. There is a way to work around it's bad conversion by converting it already into it's recognizable format and it will transfer your good conversion into the player. However the format they like to use still wastes much more space than it needs to. On the other had it does it's main job as an mp3 player pretty well and all of it's other features further support it's main purpose. I give it a 4 out of 5.

For scratches, scrapes and bruises just get this thing a case of some sort. I prefer a snap-on hard plastic case. This will eliminate any need for people like myself who tote our players in our jeans to gripe about the small things and look at more pressing matters like taking out the garbage, getting our laundry done, paying our bills, saving the humanity. lol.

Great little mp3 Fuze. Takes a little getting use to but it works fine. I am very pleased with it's performance.

I had an ipod for a few years, and got tired of it being tied to my computer and my itunes. This player has everything that my ipod lacked. For example, it has an fm radio, and most importantly, it works like a regular usb drive, so i am not tied to any particular computer. It is also very user friendly, and I love the fact that you can record the radio and delete anything that you record right in the player (again, you are not tied to your computer). I was a little disappointed with the color (should have read previous reviews), but you can order a silicone case for it in any color you want! Overall, I am very happy with my Sansa Fuze!

Great MP3 player as far as functionality goes... easy to navigate, great firmware, easy to load songs, etc. Generally pretty quick (although there is some expected slowdown with songs on the MicroSD). Very compact. Only qualm I have is that my screen broke after just three months of extraordinarily careful use. I never dropped it ONCE. I didn't use a case but it was always in my pocket or on my desk... just picked it up one day to go to the library and the screen looked like I'd cracked it and I couldn't see anything. Extremely frustrating. Take this with a grain of salt though... I'm very knowledgeable about electronics, but I have HORRIBLE luck with them. I have no idea how or why, but electronics love breaking on me, no matter how well I care for them.
