Creative Zen Mozaic 16 GB MP3 Player (Black)

This is a great little MP3 player. I listen to books when commuting to work, when exercising, or on long trips. It works with many formats, including Audible and WMA. This increases its usefulness. It is also cheaper than an ipod.

I use it exclusively for recorded sound reproduction. I cannot rate the video or radio features.

This is my first MP3 player so maybe I don't know what others know, but I am astonished to find out that the battery can not be replaced when it no longer holds a charge. Sure I can re-charge the battery now, but I know from past experience that rechargables can only be charged so many times before they no longer hold a charge and must be replaced. In this case, Creative Labs has built in PLANNED OBSOLESCENCE by making sure there is no way to get into the unit to replace the battery and making sure there are NO replacement batteries available. So this $90.00 player can last 6 months or less (??) before I have to throw it into the trash and buy a new one.
Why do we put up with such blatant scamming? I strongly suggest folks buy ONLY players with changable batteries. That is unless folks out there like to support these shyster companies AND have money to throw away.

I got my zen in three days and it works great i just wish that the 16g came with more colors to buy but other then that i love it.

I originally bought this for my teenage son. When it came, I opened it up to make sure everything was included. I then loaded a couple songs for him. I tried it out and it blew me away!
the sound quality is astounding! I ended up keeping it for myself and ordered another one for my son!

I bought this 16 gb Mosaic because my 4 gb Mozaic was running out of space. I use it for listening to book I download from the library. It is the only one I have found that restarts where I stopped or lets me bookmark my spot in the book if I want to listen to music. The 16 gb also has a speaker so I don't have to use my earphones and can share the music. It also holds my photos and they can be use as background. I have never had any problem with either of my Mozaics.
