Coby MP305-2G MP3 Player with 2 GB Flash Memory FM Radio, USB Drive and LCD - Black

I have a fancy 30G iPod that I love, but it's not "gym friendly." I just wanted something to listen to at the gym, small, light and if I drop it, I won't freak out that I just broke a $300 iPod! I love it! It's prefect. The AAA battery is perfect because I can just keep it in my gym bag without having to worry about remembering to hook it up to the computer to charge. I love that you can change the color of the display screen, but maybe I'm just easily ammused! FYI, it has a hook for a lanyard, but doesn't come with one. I was amazed at how great it is for being so inexpensive. Great buy!!

I purchase this to gift someone. The plus points of this is it includes the FM RADIO in a USB device. The negative point is it requires AAA battery to run... It would have been a awesome device if charged with USB only.

I recently got this little gem and have had a great time with it. I have been jogging with it daily this week and the sound quality is great. I loaded about 50 MP3s and they all sound wonderful, and it was almost too easy to get the music on the player. I mainly bought this because I like listening to the radio so the FM player was my main reason for buying it. So far everything is working great and it sounds great. I only used the headphones once that came with this player, I need the type that can wrap around your ear for jogging. I don't think you could do much better for 15.99.

The item is very difficult to understand and could not get music to download to it. No help or manuals (English version) was available or given.

The Coby 2GB player delivers good value for the money -- the size/weight is perfect for many situations, and it has held up nicely thus far. The only negatives are the user interface on the device itself -- not a showstopper, but not something one can do blindly -- and the integration software for downloading tunes, which again, takes some getting used to. Whether this is worth the cost difference between the Coby unit and an iPod is an exercise left for the reader. (But if you're looking at this review, you've probably already come to that same conclusion, haven't you?)

Our primary use of it is in our car (coupled with the Monster RadioPlay 300), and we're very pleased with the results for such a minimal investment.
