Apple iPod shuffle 4 GB Green (4th Generation) NEWEST MODEL

What a waste of money. First the headphones stop working then i buy an adapter for it and the shuffle stops working. Can't believe Apple would make another generation of this piece of crap.

It is convenient, simple, and very easy to use and download music. Nothing complicated about it. The sound is great. I love the easy access to the different catagories it automactically sorts your music into and the way it gives you the Artist Name and the Title of the song when played by just one easy click and hold button. I use it when I walk and jog. It is so tiny, I can clip it anywhere and never feel the weight of it. I absolutely adore it ! It is an excellent purchase. I am a satisfied custmer with this product.

I am a longtime customer of Apple and their Ipods. I have had many Ipods over the years and I love this one. I also liked the Nano as well. I love the voice over: even though I know what I put on there its great to be able to know what song your listening to. I love being able to use it by making playlists. It may only be 2g but, it holds quite a few songs. I agree with others who have said that the headphones are not all that comfortable but, I do love the remote on the headphones. If you want a good small light strong Ipod, get this one. I'm very happy with it.

My boyfriend bought this...thing, and it's been a headache ever since. He's not the most computer literate, so I have had the "pleasure" of trying to figure it out for him.

*The horrid earphones don't fit his ears but are required to control the unit.

*You can't plug it into your stereo or any other device to listen to it with any kind of control over the unit.

*His profession involves sweating, so yeah, it stops working once the sweat hits the control box.

*It seems that the battery never fully charges because the light never turns green and the charge only lasts about 4 hours. I read a review somewhere online that stated the battery life for this thing was supposed to be 8-10 hours - whereas the 2nd gen shuffle average battery life was around 12. Some "upgrade"...

*The Belkin adapter costs $20 and has mixed reviews itself. I am not at all pleased with the notion of spending more money to make a new product function as it was designed to do from jump - as we PAID for it to do from the start. So, Apple gets to charge "new/functional/no additional products necessary" prices and we get to spend more money? Um, no - this customer don't play that.

Just purchased a used 2nd gen shuffle (like my own) for him for $40 from that other site - I noticed they have used ones on this site for similar prices as well. This 4th gen piece of tin will go into a drawer (too late to return it) to wait for the recall that better happen. I will continue to purchase used 2nd gen shuffles until the Apple Powers-That-Be get their heads out.

Save your money or stay old school. Peace.

I just upgraded from the previous generation ipod shuffle. The headphones are poor quality with the plastic buds not fitting and killing the ears. I bought the adapter on Amazon so I use my regular headphones and am able to change tracks and adjust volume just like the previous generation. The shuffle is smaller and better build, its just the headphone issue for all the negative and lower reviews. I think it is a better model than the previous generations, the battery seems to last longer, the sound is a bit better, the appearance is much better.
