Great IPOD (for a person with small hands)
I bought the 8gb version for my daughter. She's crazy about it. She especially loves the FM radio.

I then bought one for myself... and returned it the next day. It's very difficult to operate with one hand. I have a deceased iPod classic 4th gen. Unlike my old iPod, I couldn't hold the nano in my palm and navigate with my thumb. The screen is very hard to read for the presbyopic generation.

Altogether, this is a great device, but didn't work out for me. I bought an iPod touch, which is fantastic!

iPod 5th Generation Nano
Great product! My first iPod and use it everywhere. Has more features than I can even use. My son's jealous because his 2nd generation iPod still works fine.

Who does NOT love hot iPods?
Almost perfect iPod; now if I could just talk to it instead of clicking...

Forget the rest and buy the best; forgetting about the voice command, this sleek beauty is HOT!

The addition of camera, video capture, FM, voice recorder makes this Nano 16GB SWEET!
+
My wish list for improvements:
Once Apple allows us to use voice commands and includes built-in bluetooth then another HUGE wave of folks (that are "tech challenged" will LOVE to purchase these iPods!

Radio is great addition to iPod, video, not so much
Really enjoy having FM radio on my iPod.

The one in the Nano is excellent, and easy to tune. I've had a lot of small FM radios, going back to the old Walkman that was only small for its time. The FM radio in the iPod Nano is the best "small to tiny" FM radio I've ever had. [Much better than the Sansa Clip's, a player I keep around for WMA "only" content ]

Why have a radio in the Nano? I do like to pick up the headline news, and other NPR shows. Sometimes I just get tired of what I've put on the iPod myself, and enjoy scanning through the available FM stations just for something different.

I don't find any use for the video recorder. I don't find any personal use for the ability to record part of a radio show, and turned that option off as it seemed when I wanted to simply turn off the radio, I was recording.

This one is worthwhile because of the radio, and its 16GB capacity. I prefer the "form factor" of the older "FAT BOY" 8 GB. This new one has noticeably shorter battery life than the "FAT BOY." Who says skinny is always best?

The iTunes EcoSystem is excellent. There are cheaper options, there may even be "fancier" options, there is no better option.

Love my Nano 5th Generation
I do love the cool purple color and it is so small and light weight. The sounds is great too. The only thing I did not like was the ear phones that came with it, they were uncomfortable, so I picked up another soft pair on sale for $7.00 I also got the elastic band so I can wear it on my arm when I am doing house work or yard work and then I had to get the docking station so it charged and I could listen to it in the office, I love this little gadget.
