there are several good features in this player, like sound, it is easy to load, but
all of these become useless if the devise does not function properly. For example, if it freezes, or if does not turn on at all....
Good idea, bad devices.

Best value and performs well and is easy to use. Make sure you have a cover it will scratch.

This is the last MP3 player I will buy for some time to come. I have nothing but good remarks about this player. Easy set-up and great sound. Set your EQ the way you want in custom settings and this thing rocks. Apple what! Apple Sauce if you ask me. You can buy this player with 4GB internal memory and an 8GB SDHC memory card for around a "C" note total. That's 12GB of pure love. Please consider this over any other player you may be looking at. You will not be dissapointed.

Let's see. What's right with this?
* No need for special software - can drag and drop files from explorer OR windows media player.
* Great sound quality
* Tiny fit-in-shirt-pocket size
* Great screen
* Simple user interface
* Expansion slot so I can have books on one sd card and music on another

What would make it MORE perfect?

* If the spinning of the thumb wheel was virtual instead of mechanical, I worry about it breaking
* If it allowed me to do Fast Forward and Reverse in audio books rather than just starting over at the track beginning. :-(
* If I could bookmark INSIDE a track so that I could come back to an audio book at the point I left off.

But for what this costs, I can't complain - 5 stars

This is my first MP3 player and I am happy w/the price for the memory size. Having the FM tuner was necessary for me. The sound quality, battery life and screen are all very good.

My only frustration was with tranferring music from PC to device. I was leaving for vaction on the same AM that I did this (my bad) and the device said that a bunch of music had successfully transferred. But when I got to the Airport, I realized that only 1 album had tranferred, and in fact had duplicated 8 out of 14 songs. This is a great album but not one I wanted to listed to for 5 days.

So the lesson is, don't procrastinate transferring your music. I have been using the device for a few weeks, steadily in the past week. I recommend it w/o reservation right now.
