Samsung LN52A550 52-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV

Am very satisfied with the Samsung 52 inch LCD TV. the picture is amazing especially in hi-def. The controls are very intuitive and easy to configure. and there were plenty of connection options. i've set it up to use with my laptop (am trying to figure how i can get one for my desk at work!) as well as cable, and DVD players. The built in sound was just a little tinny and i was dissappointed that there is only one mute level (no soft mute). also, the RCA plug sound output level is not adjustable by the volume control (can't figure why this is so) but could port the sound out of the headphone jack which does. but these were relatively minor issues in a set that i am very happy with.

No issues with amazon - everything went smoot. Small cosmetic defects with the TV, Amazon custom service was great handling this issue- It was nice talking with and dealing with People as opposed to email customer service like so many other online companies. TV is awesome - have watached many sporting events and action movies in the last month and havent noticed any delay that you read about with 60hz LCD's.

Bought 4 LCD TV's this year for Christmas, 3 Samsung and a Sony Bravia. The LN52A550 was a gift for my parents and had it shipped directly to them. Delivery was on time for all TV's and had no problems or damage. CEVA people were great. Picture on the TV is awesome in HD (Direct TV). Sound is not the best (no bass), although did not attempt to adjust, just playing it through some old stereo speakers which have great bass. Price was better than all others, 1 week delivery, and easy tracking. Great TV.

At first TV did not look very impressive, but when you hook up HDMI cable...VERY NICE!!! Do not attmept to watch in regular cable mode...must have HD to really appreciate picture quality. Some blurry motion when watching games in regular mode, but clear picture and better sound when hooked up with HD cables.

This tv is awesome-do not make the mistake I did at first-use HDMI cable -the picture explodes from the set-brillant colors and almost looks 3D! I have a 42 inch Toshiba Regza which is great but my 46' Mitsubishi Big Screen died after 14 years and I needed a bigger TV for my living room- this TV was perfect! TV showed up in three days in my living room! Amazon by far had the best price. Looked at the 650 but didn't see the value or appeal for the "touch of red " , 120 HZ or other options. I'm a sports nut and sports are awesome on this set! LCD vs Plasma? Don't see the advantage for plasma and they still have to convince me the life cycle for plasma has improved. Go for it-- you won't be disappointed. Sound not great, but use sound system. I'm using an old Sony and it works fine---spend more for Bose if you can, or save for the future! Got a Wii for Christmas and it's awesome on this set!
