Samsung LN46A650 46-Inch 1080p 120Hz LCD HDTV with RED Touch of Color

First I would like to say that I've owned this TV for a whole five hours, and that I don't have HD yet, so I'm running it through Coax. That said this LCD is a disappointment as a SD TV. The ghosting is horrific. The 120hz is almost completely useless. But I figure some of these issues will be fixed when I go HD. Now my biggest problem with this TV is that it makes movies shot on film look like movies shot on video. I currently feel like I just wasted $1500 for a LCD TV that has a worse picture than my $250 CRT TV.

I'll make sure to update you all on the picture quality when I get HD.

So I got my new Samsung today. Service from online purchase to delivery was excellent. CEVA called me yesterday and delivered the TV today, which is great. I won't have my high def. cable until Tuesday, so I can't really judge the picture yet. I'm also getting a Sony PS3 shortly.

Here's the problem. Upon initial inspection, the TV looked clean. However, after CEVA left, I inspected the TV frame and screen close up with a flashlight, and there are micro scratches all around the frame. There is even a small scratch on the screen, but it is not perceptible with the TV on. I may have Amazon replace the TV.

This is a beautiful TV with a fantastic display. CEVA shipping was fast and on time, and they even made a delivery on Saturday which was so helpful and got us our TV even faster. Amazon had the best price for this TV and I tracked it for months before I actually made the purchase. No tax and free shipping - it was just a no brainer to order from Amazon.

This TV is excellent and price on Amazon was excellent as well. Read several reviews discussing "halo" issue and glare issues but I have experienced neither and my room is fairly bright during the day due to the number of windows.

Picture quality is excellent and to me is better than similar sized TVs I have viewed of other brands.

I was cautious about such a large purchase being shipped, but the shipping was great. I ordered the TV the Saturday before Thanksgiving and the shipping company Amazon uses called me Wed night to schedule delivery on Friday - several days ahead of the projected delivery date. I would recommend this TV as well as ordering through Amazon.
