Sony DVP-FX820/L 8-Inch Portable DVD Player, Blue

In addition to the excellent video quality and battery life, I'd give this play an extra star for durability. I had forgotten it on the top of the car (doh) and it fell off a bit down the road at about 35 MPH. I just happened to see something bouncing behind me and had a bad feeling about what just happened. After consulting with my wife and pondering even going back to check, I decided to turn around. Yup, it was the player alongside the road. All the edges were rounded off due to road rash and the battery had come off but it was still in one piece. The screen was facing out and it wasn't even scratched. I fired it up and it worked! And it's been working ever since (4 months ago). Of course not I'm wondering how much abuse this player would take to kill it. My 2 and 5 year olds are really trying hard!

The first problem I noticed was the volume up/down on the unit wouldn't work. Either it didn't do anything or even on occasion, it would fast forward the movie. Eventually the unit just froze up and wouldn't play anymore after 3+ months of use.

easy to use battery works well. Easy to hook up to the tv.The audio is ok on CDs. Works great as a portable device.

i bought this to my daugther and she love it...
its the very best.

This DVD player was perfect for taking on the road or just watching at home.
