Apple iPod shuffle 2 GB Silver (2nd Generation)

Hands down the best mp3 player on the market if you're looking for portability. If you listen to music while you run, this is the best. Small enough to where it won't get in your way.

Apple has the easiest to use mp3 players and this is no exception. You know how to use it without reading the instructions. Plug it into a computer and it just works.

This is a great product!!

Although I've only had this item for less than a week I can say that it has not broken yet which is a positive. The sound quality is fantastic for this little device and when I say little I mean very small which is great.

That is really all you need to know.

This is my very fist MP3 player. It is adorable looking. The pink color is very, very atractive. The little clip on the back is very handy and the buttons are easy to use. I like it for its size, looks, solid build and sound, but I have a few complaints and would never buy another Apple product again, this being my very first and last. (Even though I have used Macs from time to time when there was no choice,I have always felt much more comfortable with a PC.) I did, however, switch the earbuds to Jbuds J2, which sound a lot better than the OEM set.

It does not hold enough. Well, obviously!!!! LOL... It is only 1 gig. Duh! It was also only $40 and was an experiment, to see if I would enjoy owning one...which I do. I have since ordered an 8 gig Zune, in addition, and eagerly await its arrival. Hopefully that will be enough storage for me.

It really does "shuffle" even when set in continuous play mode. I entered entire CDs, but they wound up scattered all over the place and because there is no display, I had no idea what was coming up next.

Origionaly I filled it with Broadway shows, but saw that was a huge mistake and will reserve my shows and my Jazz collection for my 8 gig Zune, which will play things in the order that they were entered in from beginning to end and has a display to tell me what is coming up next.

I find iTunes just awful. It is confusing as anything to use. I am very tech savvy, but it required talking to two people at Apple. Finally I found a second tier lady who was very helpful and spent about an hour with me, helping me to undo what I had done and then showing me how to add what I wanted instead. I downloaded a PDF. instruction file first, but it was useless and did not seem to match up with the switches etc. on this iPod although it was the right model. The tiny pamphlet that came with it, gives you next to no help at all.

I suppose that despite all of the above mentioned short comings, I will still give it a 4...as it does have good sound and is fun to use once you have filled it with random selections...but it is not for albums that you want to be able to listen to, uninterupted, from beginning to end.
