SanDisk Sansa Clip 2 GB MP3 Player (Blue)

The Clip that I received has terrible battery life. It's almost unusable. I'm giving it two stars instead of one because I realize that this is probably a defective item. The design is nice. Logical controls, the display is nice and bright, etc. It's a real shame it doesn't work. It's under warranty, and it's going back.

I always buy Sansa - half the price of Apple's fair and far more robust - and after my Sansa View got stolen I decide to invest in a small mp3 player for the gym and stuff before I bought a 'proper' one.
Read about this and bought the 2gb version.
Have to say:
- It's very cute
- Robust (much more throw-around-able then the View with its hard plastic casing)
- Menu, which is the same software as the View, is VERY responsive (actually better than the View which is weird, and the FF/RW works way better)
- Actually fits all the music I had put on my View (which probably shows that I just didn't need the 16gb really)
- Having problems Syncing up in Windows Media Player, but can easily drag and drop into the drive directly.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

I love this little MP3 player. Technology is passing me by so this was a good exercise for me. I am getting older and less inclined to learn new things but since my treadmill had a plug for one of these things I thought surely I can learn to download, play and listen to this. It is wonderful. I figured out how to purchase some of my favorite songs and load them from the computer, store them in playlists, etc. etc. The sound is fantastic and while I mostly use it while walking sometimes I just wear it while I'm puttering around the house with chores and hobbies. The little screen is easy to read too. I like that it's bright! What will they think of next!

I am writing this review today because I just send my red Sansa clip through the washing machine by accident and thought it was a goner; it works as if nothing happened! I am sold on this device I won't ever by another music player, it is nice to finally find something reliable where I don't feel I just wasted $200 for a nice looking gadget with absolutely no reliability.

I have purchased 3 of these so far. This device was an hands down for me at first because of the belt clip. The sound quality is amazing, the features and functionality are intuitive and easy to understand. Get one they are great!

I did some research for a mp3 player for music and audio books,no pictures or videos. I selected this one and am very happy with it. My kids who have iPods said the sound was very good and it was a nice item. I did change to different earphone type. The usb cord which fits any/all computers also fits any/all wall chargers, freeing you from the computer. I use the kids iPod wall charger. I went to the Sandisk website and downloaded the firmware which will update the player when connected to the computer, if needed. I also downloaded the 20 some page manual which gives more detail. Real Player 11 is what is on my computer and the sansa was recognized and I could drag'n drop or just right click on the song and add it to the sansa.I have never had the time to create playlists on the Real Player so I can't comment about importing playlists from Real Player.I left enough room for audio books. It is easy to use, it is plastic so I'm sure if you sit or step on it it will cause damage to the player. I have several Sandisk thumb drives and have never had any problems with them so I don't expect any with this item. Highly recommend if you don't need videos or pictures on your mp3 player. No previous mp3 experience needed to operate the Sansa.
