SanDisk Sansa Clip 2 GB MP3 Player (Blue)

Good value. This player works well and has a very well lit screen. For some people that have sight issues, the font (letter) size may be a bit small. No frills really about it, but hey, it was inexpensive and so far it works great. Good enough for a starting mp3 player for anyone. Recommended!!

For the past 2 years I have been listening to 2 Creative Zen V Plus MP3 players Creative Zen V Plus 4 GB Portable Media Player (Black/Blue) , but they are awfully finicky. If you rewind or fast forward too quickly, they go dead and require a reset.

My cute little Sansa Clip is 1/2 the size of a Zen V Plus...so tiny! When it's powered on, the function displays light up, but are otherwise difficult to see. The screen is nice and bright. No video, but I don't care.

The Sansa Clip has all the functions I need except for bookmarks. It does return to your place when you turn it on, but this would be a problem for folks who listen to more than one book at a time or to a book interspersed with music. I plan to use my still working Zens for music, as I like to use the Creative Travelsound Zen V (awesome...check eBay) and never rewind music. The Sansa Clip will be for my audiobooks.

If you're looking for more features, I'd recommend the Samsung YP-P2JCB P2 8 GB Touchscreen Bluetooth Portable Media Player (Black) that I bought for my husband. It's very cool if you want to spend more. He would quickly lose a small player like the Sansa Clip.

My oldest son bought me one of these Sandisk players for Christmas 2007. I had purchased my other two sons MP3 players that were different brands. By September of 2008, my Sandisk 2G was the only one of the three MP3 players that was still operational! Therefore, I purchased three of them - one for husband, and two for the sons that had been trying to borrow mine for the last few months. The ease of operation and easy to read screen are great for a tech-fraidy like my husband, who also loves having an FM tuner on the device. The boys are thrilled to have units that can stand up to their abuse. Great product!

This is my first dedicated mp3 player and it is a home run right out of the box. It is hard to believe that something so small could hold so much entertainment AND has a perfectly good FM tuner AND can record digitally from the radio AND will do voice recording. I load mine up with tunes and podcasts and use it at the gym. It is great sound and the "lock" button makes it foolproof in an active environment. My wife has an IPod shuffle but this is the same size but has a display.

Note: I thought the FM tuner was broken the first time I tried to use it, but just press the "play" button and you will hear the sound (that is not mentioned in the manual for some reason).

This product is easy to use, convienent clip on is great for the kids, and once she opened it christmas morning within 15 mins I had downloaded music and she was ready to go! Great for a first time user!
