Great Player
I love this product it is so easy to use. There is not special software you just manage it with your windows media player and drag and drop music, videos or pictures on to it. The sound quality is excellent. The menu takes a little bit to get used to but once you spend 10 minutes with it you'll be an expert. Also Cowon's technical support and repair is great. Our dog ate the screen off one of our players (we have 2). Obviously it was not a warranty repair but they fixed it and shipped back the next day after they received it at the repair shop. The cost was only $90 for the repair which was great cause otherwise we would have had to buy a whole new one. I have nothing but great this to say about this product and Cowon.

Don't by Cowon products...
I have been thoroughly disappointed with their products and lack of customer service. They average about 2-3 weeks to return an email for customer service issues. I finally got through to a representative and was advised to send the product back to them, at my own expense and they emailed back about 1 month later stating that there is no problem with the item. When I emailed back with a detailed description of the specific situation I encountered (item stopped powering on or charging through the USB port) they ceased communication. I still haven't heard back from them, but will never buy their products ever again. They are terrible both at manufacturing and caring for their customers.

Sounds great, decent display, yes the controls are too sensitive
With the Bose ear-bud phones, this tiny little unit puts out a very respectable sound. It's very light, and since I only use this for music, the storage is huge.

I actually like recharging this over the USB versus my old Cowon which took 1 AA battery, as is easy and likely much better for the environment.

The controls are way too sensitive is my biggest complaint and why this did not get 5 stars. The lock button takes care of that, but always have to unlock the controls to lower/raise the volume, so a little bit of a pain.

Also, since I don't use it for any videos, I can't comment on it's capabilities there.

Good, but some bugs
This was a cool little player. The only problem was I had problems with the music that I transfered over to it.

It especially had issues with ones that I had bought online, that had the digital rights. It wouldn't play them, when I tried, it would just spin alittle while, like it was looking for the file. Then it would play the next, non-protected song, but all the descriptions would disappear or be change to korean letters. Weird. One I turned it off and then back on, the descriptions would re-appear (in english).

So back to Amazon it went. The positive part of my story is Amazon's quick, very few questions asked return policy. Sometimes I worry about ordering things online, but I never have to with Amazon!

Amazing!!!
The player is simply amazing. About 60 HOURS OF BATTERY LIFE. Can't beat that. I've had this player for a few months already and I only recharged it fully only twice. And the player does not use battery when it's off. Another good aspect about it is that even when the player is "locked" or on the "hold" position, you can still program the top buttons to put the volume higher or lower and pause the song you are playing. The sound is excellent. You just need to buy good headphones. Yes, the slide function can be a little annoying at first, but I quickly got used to it. You can customize the folders in your player and you could record the radio which is pretty cool. Very simple. The screen is kind of small for videos, but the quality is clear. You can also just drag and drop music into the player. Videos need to be transfered by the use of the jetaudio program. Definitely worth the money.
