Zune 80 GB Digital Media Player (Black)

April 25th I bought an 80gb zune. That day and since I've added a leather case, hard protective case, car pack, home media pack, and the book "how to do everything with your zune." I can't do everything. I can't get rid of the horrible music videos microsoft dumped on it before I bought it. Videos freeze up. A player this expensive should come with a program to format DVDs to zune. I looked on line to get help from the zune site. They say to go to the forums. Couldn't get in. It even said I hadn't bought the points needed. Next time I tried to sign in my password wasn't accepted. I asked for a new one. didn't receive an e-mail. Happened again. Called Zune. The recording went through the (SO CALLED) legitimate problems they would help you with. They told me to go to their web site. Which sends me to forums, which won't let me......etc. .......etc. around and around!!!!!
The bigger screen is nice. The accessories are great...but, not if you can't get the thing working.
Wish we'd bought our MAC before I bought the zune....
I want to get an I-Pod. There are trade offs, (smaller screen) but, if I can actually use it and buy things on I tunes that I don't have to reformat to use I will be thrilled.
Zune is microsofts answer to the I-Pod. It's a whisper with nothing backing it up but a lot of hot air!!!!
"APPLE" anyone?

I bought this after my Creative Zen Vision M was stolen. I've had it about 4 months now and I can't say enough good things about it. It was easy to set up, easy to transfer music to and has great sound and video quality. Syncing up music downloads and videos is also very easy. The capacity is great. I have tons of music and lots of episodes of "House" on it. I had to stop playing the episodes of House in the car though -- the sound is so good we keep looking for the source of the sirens that are often in background of the show!

80G Zune
I am very disappointed in the quality of my Zune. After only having it for a month, it froze up on me for a week. In the 4 months that I have owned it, it has froezen 4 times and I hope to return it because I've had enough. I subscribed to the Zune network where I can download music onto it. I didn't know that every month the zune must be synced with the Zune network in order to play the music, if you don't keep the $15 a month subscription, the license does not allow you to play the music. So if you do purchase this, be prepared to pay $15 a month for the rest of the time that you own it, which can be very expensive. I feel like I sold myself to the devil. The headphones are good quality, but the keypad is too sensitive and hard to control(seems to have a mind of its own sometimes). The battery life is very short!!! I do not recommend this product, or the life-long contract with Microsoft!

I bought my Zune about a year ago so i figure it's about time to review it. Overall i have been very happy with it. I still have not filled it to capacity, and i have a pretty vast music collection, + some videos. The screen is big and looks very sharp, great for videos. Navigation is simple. Microsoft is always upgrading the software and firmware, which is good. When the software first came out it was terrible, couldn't even really edit anything, but now i like it and you can do much more with it. Some people complained of no equalizer. I don't find it a problem. 95% of the time im using it in my car, which has an eq.

My complaints - Battery life is not quite as good as i would hope. I forget what was advertised, but its probably usually like 10 hours for me (just playing music) which is ok but not great. The zune pad is cool, but sometimes works TOO good. Like ill go to click on something and it'll slide up or over. i almost kind of wish they kept the button like the original had, but it works fine. I'd like an option for something other than shuffle all. a shuffle all by artist or something like that would be cool. hopefully they'll add something liek that with an update eventually. Also, doesn't support a lot of my video files, only some of em. Despite these, i still love it and woudl not trade it for an ipod. definitely worth my $240

better than the iPod, for sure. now that i'm a zune pass subscriber, i won't go back!
