Very nice player!!!
The only con for this player is that you can't use it when it is charging connected to the computer.

a very functional, tiny, useful mp3 player
I have a 5th generation 80 gb. Ipod, but honestly I didn't like it since the first time I bought it.
-I don't use it's video capabilities. [Why would I? Converting all the video files took me ages, and finally I gave up... I have my pc, and tv to watch videos.]
-It's too big , even the new ones are not small enough to carry around all day long. especially if you're doing sports.
-It's dependency on iTunes, (which I find as a computer scientist like a virus sucking all your memory) makes me crazy. In a few months of using it I switched to yamIpod.

With the new 4gb Sansa player I've got:
Pros:
-It's very easy to upload files.
-It's very small.
-Battery charges quickly.
-The clip is useful.
-Sound is very nice. (I am using sony ear-buds)

Cons:
-The menu might be more intuitive.
-If it is the first time you connect to your computer, you might have to change it's connection preferences, to be able to upload files.

Great MP3 player for the money
This MP3 player by SanDisk surpassed my expectations. The Sansa Clip is easy to use, load music, search for music by artist or by album title. The FM radio is also a great feature. The built in clip makes it convenient to use during yardwork, play or exercise. I'm glad I made the purchase.....truly a great product!

Only one little problem so far................
I bought two SanDisk Sansa Clip 2GB MP3 Players about six months ago. We use them at the gym, about 14 hours per week. I have read in some reviews that it does not hold a charge for very long, but I have only had to charge mine three times in six months.

Overall, the sound quality is fine for using it at the gym (and on the lawnmower). The operation is simple enough. I just wish it had the option to download the song list, in case you wanted to buy another one. I had to load each one individually, which was time consuming.

The only problem I have had (with both players) is, sometimes when I turn it on, the music does not play. Usually when I turn it on, it picks up at the song it was on previously. However, sometimes, it shows the song on the display, but there is no audio. I have tried using different ear buds, but to no avail. I have to go back to the playlist and select what I want over again.

Other than that, we are very happy with the product for the price.

Works great under Linux
Great little player, excellent sound quality. Works great under Linux in MSC mode. Just drag * drop your music. Plus, you get free firmware updates from the Sandisk website.

The only negatives I could find were 1) no folder view, and 2) the headphone plug is a bit flimsy, so if you're too rough with the headphone jack, you can damage the Clip and end up with a "no sound in one ear" situation.

Overall, great product, especially for the size and price.
