Apple to new iPod owners: Sucks to be you!
There's really no need to review this item, because thanks to Apple's monopolistic tactics in this market, you simply have no other choice if you want to use your iPod video the way Apple tells you that you can. Buy it, hate it and shut up about it.

At least, that's what apple seems to be telling us these days. Their operating system is still fantastic, but my iPod Touch -- the fourth iPod I've owned in five years -- will probably be the last iPod I bother to own.

Only one complaint on the Composite cable
I bought this cable through Amazon and have used on my TV as well as played music through the aux. audio jacks on a Bose wave radio/CD player. These cables are being used on the iPod Touch. It played wonderfully through both. I plugged it in to a Panasonic HDTV LCD TV and the movies looked crystal clear. The only downside is the cable jacks themselves. They are smooth cylinders which makes it difficult to unplug because there is nothing substantial to grip. They might be pleasing to the eye, but that's a poor design choice.

Cheap and Expensive
I was very disappointed when I opened the package. Remember these cables cost 50 bucks. What I got is........ really thin and flimsy av cables. They look nice with the silver tips, but..... you cant grip them to pull them out of the reciever's input jacks. They fit really tight and can not be adjusted to be a bit looser like you would with other av cables. Again.... the only thing I paid for was the name Apple, not a product worth 50 Dollars.

an order with speed
I ordered the item and I recieved it well before the expected date (like 3-4 days) Kudos to the seller!
I wish the cable I bought from a local place worked like this one does but apple put some sort of "use our stuff only" thing into the ipods.
Great seller.

Apple is picking our pockets
They should be tossed out on the street and made to hold up a sign that says "Have Cables, Need Food"

I too went through a bunch of accessories that had to be sent back only to get caught in a compromising position.

I am still waiting for said cable to show up from Hong Kong. I wonder how much lead is in this thing? I can't even chew on it if I wanted to, it isn't here after almost two weeks.

BTW, if you want video on your TV you MUST buy this over priced cable for your over priced ipod that is made in a communist country that now has a nuke of their own and hates the USA.

Thanks Apple.

Edit, 1-31-08 Just got this cable last night and I'm not impressed.

While I like the idea of a built in charger, it isn't needed. Also the RCA plugs are too tight and take a lot of force to get on. The plugs are too smooth and there is no way to grip them without pulling on the wires or using plires.

I will say it does a good job of getting the video to the TV, but so would any other cable if it wasn't for needing a chip.

:Rant off:
