Olympus VN4100 Digital Voice Recorder

This was a great product for the people who dont have PC. I got disappointed after I saw there is no way we can download the voice to PC. Unless, we use some other mechanism to get that to PC. Not straight from the box. I wish I had seen the specifications earlier before purchasing it.

I've used digital recorders for many years. I bought an expensive Olympus DM-10, a great machine, but one drop and it was toast. Olympus would not do anything for me. Bought another one (it is a great unit after all) and got only a little over one year before parts started to wear out. Just bought a VN-4100 for $100.00 less, and wish I'd bought this one in the first place.

It is far simpler to operate, is smaller and lighter, and doesn't have the troublesome hinged metal battery door that broke on the DM-10.

For daily use for short memo's, to-do's etc., I highly recommend this recorder.

This item is reasonably priced and performs well. It actually does more than I expected of it.

I mean...listen back. What a great little recorder for daily use. Simple to use, easy record & playback functions, even folders for different types of notes. Beware! the picture is of a VN-4100PC, but you are getting the cheaper VN-4100. The PC version can download to your computer. If you look closely at the picture you can see that it says "VN-4100PC right at the bottom of the recorder. Also, the the PC version is silver (as pictured) and the cheaper version is gold (see other reviews).
