Perfect for my needs
The sound is very sharp, and the set up was easy with audyssey. Stereo and 5.1 content sound amazing with dolby pro logic IIx on my PS3. I got this for xmass when the price was around $168 so it was a steal, I highly recommend.

Great sound very easy set-up!!
I purchased this receiver 2 weeks ago and I am extremely happy. It has great sound with plenty of options the build quality feels solid and well constructed. The automatic speaker set-up was a breeze and took less than 15 minutes. The user manual was clear and easy to understand and this was my first time setting up a surround receiver with a PS3, HDDVD player, satellite receiver and plasma t.v. I would recommend this to anyone especially a beginner

The jury is still out
So far I hate it, but maybe that statement will change if I can get the thing to work at all. I received it on December 21st as an early Christmas present, and I've worked on it for three days trying to get it to work without any success. According to the manual it's hooked up right. I've tried doing the auto speaker setup at least a dozen times, and each time I get a Speaker Detection Error, even though you can hear each speaker being detected as it's going through the setup. I tried checking the speaker wires to make sure they were tight, and they were, but that still didn't solve the problem. I tried playing a CD . . . No sound whatsoever. Now come on, a receiver shouldn't be this dang hard to hook up, and I shouldn't have to have a professional come over at $50 an hour (1/4 the price of the receiver) to see if he can get it working, but if I can't find the solution soon I'll either have to do that or go through the hassle of tearing it apart, boxing it up, and sending it back, which I shouldn't have to do. If I ever get it to work maybe I'll love it, but until that time comes -- if it comes -- I'd have to say there must be many other receivers that are far easier to set up. I'll try to remember to update this review in the near future.

Phenomonal gift idea!
By brother-in-law has this EXACT 7.1 receiver...and I
wanted to find one for my son's new house (he already had
the speaker system). After doing alot of research online
and at brick & mortar stores, I was begining to think that
I wouldn't be able to afford the reciever for all of the
speakers that he had UNTIL I found this one online! Since
this will be a Christmas present I can't personally vouch for this particular one, but based on what my brother-in-law is able to get out of this system...I figured I've saved close to $300.00!!!

Decent reciever - Great build - Good Sound
Decent reciever. Very good build and very user friendly.

The sound is warm, crisp and clean,

I am happy with all the options and the overall quality of the product.

Got it yesterday, need some more time to analyse...
