What's my version?
First of all, the quality of the player is wonderful. The sound production, the graphics, even the radio reception a great. It also has a great weight to it, it feels well made. Why didn't I give 5 stars?...

Nowhere in the specs did it say what version this player was. I got a version #1, which means that the microSD card can not be larger than 2GB. If I had a version #2, then I could use a larger card. (4-10GB) This would have been nice to know before I ordered it.

Also, the control wheel could be taller. Here's the deal, I have a skin that covers my player. The skin fits so closely to the wheel that my finger doesn't touch the wheel comfortably. I have to point at the wheel if I want to use it. It's minor, I know, but 5 stars needs to be better.

I would recommend this player. My family has 3 Sansa players and they all work very well. Instead of paying more the that ipod, spend that money on downloads. And more microSD cards!

Sansa e280 8g
Great product. We now have 3 in the family. Best advantage over Apple is FM radio access and ability to increase memory with micro flash drive.

fast service--SanDisk Sansa e280
Sent as a gift. Unable to send card because the item was sent directly from manufacturer. The girl had to figure out who had sent her the gift. She did because I had sent her stuff from Amazon before. Also, instruction book only available online.

SANDISK LACKS CUSTOMER SERVICE
I BOUGHT TNHIS PLAYER FROM ONE OF AMAZONS'S DROP SHIPPER, (NOT THEIR FAULT) AND AFTER I RECEIVED IT, THE MICRO CARD SLOT WOULD NOT ACCEPT A MICRO CARD.....KEEPS FALLING OUT. I CALLED THE COMPANY THAT SHIPPED IT (TheFactoryDepot) and they tell me that they have no replacement, that a new model in out. So I called SANDISK, AND THEY TELL ME TO RETURN IT TO AMAZON, AMAZON SAYS IT WAS SHIPPED BY (TheFactoryDepot) .....I'M BACH TO WHERE I STARTED WITH TheFactoryDepot.

i CALLED SANSISK AGAIN AND DEMANDED THAT IT BE REPLACED.....THIS TIME AFTER A FEW E-MAILS, THE GAVE ME AN RMA # AND PREPAID POSTAGE TO SHIP IT BACK.....THAT WAS ALMOST A MONTH AGO. cALLED SANDISK AGAIN AND THEY NOW TELL ME THAT THEY DO NOT HAVE THIS PLAYER STILL LISTED ON AMAZON EITHER, THEY WILL GET BACK WITH ME WHEN THEY FIND ONE.

WELL IT'S ALMOST OCTOBER AND THEY HAVE NOT GOT BACK TO ME YET......NOT MORE SANDISK PRODUCTS FOR ME

Sansa e280 review
The e200 series of sansa is a set of players that are easy to operate, have sleek design and good sound quality.
It's main disadvantage is that it has a low volume output.
I would recommend anyone that is sick of the limitation i-pod world dictates to consider the sansa player as a great alternative.
