Uniden 100-Channel Clock Radio Scanner

i would like too know if this scanner will pick up this frequency 159.11250

Being a volunteer firefighter I'm happy that this scanner does exactly what I need. The weather alert function works wonderfully to keep me informed of ever changing conditions in my area. The 100 channels allow me to monitor not only my own fire stations channels, but also nearby mutual aid departments as well as police service. So far this is a great product....

I purchased this scanner for my wife believe it or not. She works at a nursing home and all the residents have one and she just had to get one. Of course, I did get the added benefit because I've always wanted one. I did lots of research before buying especially the previous comments left here on Amazon. I was concerned about programming issues mentioned before, but I'm fairly intelligent and figured it would be a breeze....well It would be if the instructions were a little more clear. I was able to figure it out without too much trouble, but I could definitely see someone without much technical aptitude having a problem. We've had several scanners over the years...this one was inexpensive, easy to program and use, and love the weather channel and battery back up. We live in an area prone to storms and tornadoes so when the power goes out, we can still hear what the emergency folks are saying. Liked it so much bought a second one as a gift.

Very easy to set up the channels. Holds channels when turned off or power loss. Old scanner required frequencies to be re-installed every time the power went off.
