COBY MP-CD521 Personal MP3/CD Player with 120 Second Anti-Skip Protection

I bought this item recently so that I could listen to mp3 cd audio books on my commute. Due to the price and brand name I had expected the item to be lesser quality but I had expected it to work; it didn't. It would play for a few minutes and then stop for several minutes as the anti-skip feature worked over time trying to compensate for a non-existent skip. The player wouldn't even work consistently on flat non-moving surfaces like a table. Save your money and put it towards a decent MP3 CD player. I bought a Phillips for about $50 and it works flawlessly under all conditions.

It did not work at all!!!!!! I had to send it back. I did not even try to buy another one.

I bought this for a friend who has no computer access. With lots of MP3 songs in one CD... he loved it and enjoyed a lot.

I recommend this product....and if the price is also good.

The top doesn't close good and the esp actually skips. I really don't think this product measures up at all. It's awesome that it plays mp3's but I hate that it skips and I have to keep making sure that nothing gets in under the huge gap between the bottom and the top.

The unit works very well. I used it for audio books and on my trip and used it on the plane and while driving. I was quite pleased with the unit.
