Don't buy this product
I'm not a big audiophile - if I can hear it, it's a good system! Just wanted a reliable piece of equipment.
Spent the $$$ on Bose, but was not wowed with the sound from day 1. Wish I had used the CD player
more often so that perhaps it would have broken down while still under warranty. Just over 2 years and
it's off for a $125 repair which comes with another 1 year warranty.
Bose has been KIND enough to cover shipping costs. Buyer Beware Bose!

I am happy with my purchase.
I still have not figured out if I can control it without the remote, I see no buttons no where on the radio itself. But it is great, I listen to Andrea Bocceli at night to fall asleep and it is great.

Not the best audio quality, but very good overall value
At $499 for the basic unit + iPod connect (bose has a promo on) the wave music is a good value. I was looking for an iPod speaker system with alarm clock feature. Interestingly, the only way to wake to iPod with the system is to install an alarm app on the iPod (touch) and to leave the wave radio on with aux as the source. In fact that's one way to use any iPod dock/speaker system as an alarm. But the wave system also has a clock to display the time.

Pros:
1. Superior build quality. Very solid fit and finish.
2. Very quiet cd mechanism.
3. Clean looks
4. iPod playlist browing. Small but useful feature.
5. Decent audio quality. Bass is lacking somewhat, but good for a bedroom. Far superior to all sound docks other than the new 10. Better than B&W mini.
6. Self dimming display
7. All in one - radio, cd and iPod system. Can also connect via Boselink to a Lifestyle system.

Cons:
1. No wake to iPod (relies on app workaround)
2. Sound quality below B&W Zeppelin or Bose sound dock 10 at same price range and single unit systems.
3. Polk iSonic has better audio for lower price, but the Polk has terrible software. I owned one. Loved the sound but hated the glitches. BUT the Bose sound quality is a good few notches below the Polk, which is as good as the Zeppelin.

Summary:
1. Not the best audio. You can do better at this price. You can do better at lower price. The Polk is $299.
2. But Bose is an excellent combination of style, build quality, features and above avg. audio.
3. Best feature is the CD player, ipod dock is good if you get for free. Definitely not worth $100.
3. Remote should have been backlit.

Great sound coming from somethng the size of an alarm radio.
I have been listening to my new Bose Wave music system for hours now. The sound quality is great. Not the greatest of any stereo system of course, but for $500 and its size, its great.
I think most people forget its small size and expect a little more.

Its definitely impressed thus far.

No surprises! Exactly what was expected!
The Bose Wave System is exactly what I expected and what I wanted. It is light-weight, space-saving and has very good BIG sound. I love the remote, also. It costs alot more than other systems, however, other systems just did not have the simplicity, sound, or small stature.
