iPod Radio Remote

i don't know if my review will apply to the casual user, but for my uses, there is truly no better product. (side note : this was a replacement product for me. i had it once before, used it for maybe 5 or 6 years, broke it, and here we are.)

i'm a daily cyclist and i have been for maybe 25 years now -- i don't even own a car. and in the span of that time that's included my ownership of an ipod, i've been frustrated to have a lack of control over my music while i'm riding. with an ipod in a backpack, you're screwed -- you just have to listen along, whether you're in the mood for that song or whether the volume's too loud/too soft, whatever. enter the ipod radio remote. i attach this to my ipod and let the wire trail out to a bag strap, where i clip the control panel. now i have control over my music or my playlists. skip tracks back or forward, and most importantly, volume control and play/pause.

the radio function is a nice touch, especially for such a small little box, but i don't listen to the radio, so that's not really a selling point for me. might be for you, though!

this is simply a must-have for me, since for now, i can't afford to upgrade to the newer ipods with their fancy integrated headphone remotes. when i do, this may become more of a novelty. but for now? i can not live without it.

The problem with technology is that it changes so fast. I got an iPod Nano and just a month later, the new ones came out with radio and video. Oh, well! This radio addition works fine. It does run down the charge a lot faster than just listening to the music I have on my iPod so I have to watch this if I want to listen to my iPod all day at work.
