Digital Stream DSP7700P Digital TV Converter Box (Black)

I just brought this converter today after reviewing numerous ones online. Set up was a little confusing at first. Converter doesnt automatically find channels. After receiving channels,however,picture quality is good. Sound however, appears to be low. I dont have any other converter boxes to compare this to,but so far,so good.

Various things can interupt cable service so I set this up as back up. Installation with an antena in the attic was simple. I was pleased with the result and very pleased with the features. If the cable does not meet my needs at any time, I now have a second choice at a very low price.

Worked good right out of the box, instructions are clear and the remote is well laid out and easy to use.

The product was difficult to install and only picked up one channel. It made the other devices difficult to use. I am very unhappy with this purchase.

I purchased this converter box with my free government coupon. As I went to set it up, the remote control would not work (I tried three different sets of new batteries) and there is no other way to program the box. I tried to exchange it for a working unit, but was told the item is not eligible for an exchange, so I have a useless unit at the moment.
