Excellent Value
I bought this converter 4 weeks ago when most of the other brands were sold out (I was waiting for the Zenith DTT901 to be restocked, but my coupon was about to expire). I set this unit up in a matter of minutes and it did an excellent job of pulling in stations in the norhtern suburbs of Chicago using a Tivax indoor amplified antenna.

I also own Tivax and Zinwell converter boxes and I feel that the Tivax has the best build quality along with a superior program guide; the remotes for all three have an equally cheap feel to them and need to be pointed directly at the converter box. The Zinwell is the only one of the three that has a timer for VCR recording, but the program is buggy and will occasionaly change channels on its own. (there is an on-air software upgrade, but I haven't been able to pull in a signal yet)

The Craig will get the job done if you are in need of a converter and have difficulty locating other brands. In any case, each brand represents a compromise and you may consider buying a DVD/VCR combo with a digital tuner when they are more affordable and less buggy.

Cheap Piece of Junk
I bought two of these converter boxes. They both overheated and shut off after about 20 minutes of use. This happened every time I tried to watch T.V. The remote is sticky and is the cheapest thing I have ever used. Also, the wire kept coming apart from the T.V. every time I moved the box even an inch. It is difficult to program, and you don't get as many stations as with other converter boxes. I eventually returned both of them and got my money back. Do not even think about purchasing this product.

Don't Buy It
I gave one star just because my TV actually gets decent picture.
Other than that, the buttons of the remote control are sticky, and this box takes a while to get picture.
I had another one from Access which was faster to get picture and better remote for the same price, not junk like this.
