Sirius Sportster Replay + Home Kit Bundle (Refurbished)

I already had a boom box and several mounts for an identical radio when it died. This saved me the cost of having to purchase all of my hardware over again. FM transmitter is detuned, but they all are now. Highly recommended.

This is a perfect replacement for the original sportster radio for car or home use. My original sportster died after many years of hard use. The refurbished unit looks brand new, and comes with a home docking unit (the cradle of which which can be a replacement for car use) and extra cables and an indoor antenna, and a new remote - which I'm sure you have lost by now. IMPORTANT - the rebuilt unit complies with the FCC RF power level regulations therefore the broadcast power is pretty wimpy. I live in a suburban area, and have been unable to get a clear, noise free link with my FM radio, this is especially bad on the classical and talk channels. Don't bother with a cassette adapter, sound quality is terrible. I am investigating either the antenna kit used with the newer radios (available from SIRIUS) or the wired FM transmitter relaySirius Wired FM Relay Retail Package, which requires that you remove the car radio to plug the connections in. I will update this review when I have found an acceptable solution.
