Just recieved my system today. I found that the system has easy to understand instructions, even though you won't need them to connect the speakers. The sound quality is great for this type of system. I have a two bedroom apartment and it just what I was looking for as an audio system. I read some negative reviews about this systems, with the exception of the reviews that state the their system came broken, this is not a high power system it is a compact system for apartments/dorms. I'm using this in my bathroom. It is PERFECT! It has a timer setting that works like an alarm clock, I've preset it to come on at 5:30 am to my selected radio station. Much better than the annoying scream of an alarm clock! Works great for me.

I bought this at Walmart for half the price that's listed here on Amazon. Got it as a gift for a friend who was in the hospital in long-term care so he'd have something to listen to while convalescing in the hospital. He loved it and listened to it every day using ear-buds until somebody at the hospital stole it out of his room in the middle of the night when he was sleeping.

He had really liked it and thought I had paid far more for it than what I did.

Check Walmart first before buying it on here, if they have it in stock you'll save some money.

I was disappointed with this system. when it worked the sound was great and i loved it that we could attach our MP3 player to it. but then after a month the CDs wouldnt work. Tried to fix it and called tech support also but couldnt figure it out. Since i had bought it using some credit card points i couldnt return it as well. the radio still works. I gave 2 stars because of being a poorly built product.

I bought this phillips stereo system from amazon in january, 2009 and paid $78 for it. I mounted it in my kitchen for when I'm cooking and enjoyed it so much, I thought I'd get another one for when I'm hoop-dancing outside (aerobic-check out on youtube). I saw it at wallyworld for $74 and thought I'd check it out on Amazon. Imagine my shock when I saw it listed for such a high price ($260). It is a great little piece for $70's, but I'm tight on the purse-strings and have never had the itch to spend more than I had to. Shop around for a better price. That's the only reason I didn't give it a 5 star.
