Nikon Coolpix S550 10 MP Digital Camera with 5x Optical Zoom (Graphite Black)

I bought this to replace my Olympus camera after 2 years of wear and tear from teenagers! I am pleased with the ease of use and quality of the picture. I decided on this camera after reading reviews and comparing to the Olympus. The only thing I am not thrilled with, the cord to download pics onto PC is pretty big and bulky. The olympus is a single cord. The Nikon is a whole box,cord and audio/video thing. Other than that. I feel it's great value for money here and I am completely satisfied.

I bought this for a trip to Vegas, got it a day or two before our trip, read the Quick Start and a few things in the manual and had no problems.

Mi sorpresa es que el macro de esta camara es de muy mala calidad, dificil de enfocar, cuando disparas hasta la mitad se desenfoca.
He tenido mucha camaras digitales y hasta mi primera camara digital Sony (1997) toma aceramientos de mejor calidad.
Creo que vino defectuosa o de lo contrario es muy MALA.
Las otras funciones quizas no sean tan malas,pero para lo que la quieo No sirve

Over triple the MP of my last Coolpix, GREAT zoom, good small easy-to-use camera. Micro has some trouble w/focus at 5" or less, a little patience & a steady hand helps. Battery lasts about 1 hour of continuous use.

This camera is garbage. I just returned it. First of all, it doesn't come with an SD card, which is unprecedented for this type of ultra-compact consumer camera. Second, when you take out the battery to re-charge it, all of the camera settings including date and time are lost. So, every time you re-charge, you must re-program the camera from scratch. Third, the user interface and controls are very poorly designed and hard to use. Fourth, the feeling is terrible, the controls have a wobbly and low quality feeling. The camera actually takes fantastic pictures, the best I have ever seen from a compact camera, but that doesn't outweigh all the problems.
