Nikon Coolpix S550 10 MP Digital Camera with 5x Optical Zoom (Graphite Black)

For some reason this camera was cheaper when I bought it a year ago but I love it. I haven't regretted buying it or a second.

Before I say more, I'll tell you I haven't downloaded my pics yet onto the PC, will add to review after.
I'm coming from an HP Photosmart R817, this Nikon is a very close relation to it! Before I had 5x optical zoom, and 5.1 mp - very happy so far. When taking pics with Nikon pics look grainy on-screen, once you press shutter button, face detection waits a bit to make sure subjects open eyes, then takes pic. After a sec. the pic is clear on screen. Flash seems plenty strong for about 5-10 ft.

My wife was very pleased with the camera. Ease of use is very important and she had no issues with changing between different types of shots or videos. Just remember that many card slots in laptops and towers that support SD will not necessarily read SDHC cards. We found a great card reader that plugs into the USB slot. It works quickly and is small enough to slip into the camera case with the camera. We love the camera!
