Flip Ultra Camcorder 2nd Generation, 120 Minutes (Pink)

I really like this camcorder. Its easy to use, works great, love the software, its really nice. What gets me is that they couldn't toss in a male to female USB cable when they shipped it. The camcorder was meant to plug directly into a USB port for image transfer and charging. There is a problem - two really. 1. The camcorder is much to heavy to "hang" from a USB port on a computer tower. They included an adapter to plug into a TV, but what they REALLY should have included was the male to female USB extension cord.

I bought the optional AC wall charger. The charger does not support the Flip well and it is hard on the USB stick that flips out. When you charge it from a USB port on your computer, the "charge" progress screen is on the bottom, making it impossible to see when charging is complete. I looked for their USB cables and they want around 16-18 bucks and they give you several. You only need one.

If you get ANY Flip camcorder, plan on buying a male to female USB extension cord because if you don't, you stand the possibility that the stick may become loose or break after several uses. They made a nice camcorder. They just needed to throw in a USB cable for me to give it five stars. Without it, it gets 3.5.

I think it's fantastic. I just got it, so I can't say how the battery life is (I ordered the seperate rechargeable battery pack, but the fact that I can also carry two extra AAs for backup is huge for me), but it's nice and compact, starts up and begins recording fast, plug it into your computer and you're reviewing and editing your video in seconds, and the picture quality is just fine. I'm simply a mom who wants to capture memories of my 2 young kids, make DVDs of them and put them on YouTube to share with family. So for my use, I couldn't ask for anything more, especially at such a low price.

perfect for every little moment you want to capture and so small and sleek you cant go wrong only thing is there is only 120 minute of record time but its enough for me and it runs on batteries so stock up on rechargable batteries just in case but overall im completely satisfied and happy with my purchase and for the price you cant go wrong!!

This is a great product. It is easy to use. You can set up channels on the internet and post your videos to these channels - it takes seconds to set up a channel. You decide who you want to have access to the videos. It's great. Also, if you do a lot of presentations, the Flip Video Recorder is great to record yourself and critique yourself. I had a major presentation to do, I taped myself several times. I was able to correct many things, improve my presentation, and it went off without a hitch!

After scanning all of the numerous "positive" Customer Reviews pertaining to the Flip Ultra, there's only one thing left for me to add: "Buy this item or forever be disadvantaged!"
